En fonction de la durée de votre voyage et de vos préférences, vous pouvez choisir un billet de première ou de deuxième classe, dans une voiture-couchette pour un voyage de nuit, ou opter pour un siège raide ou plus si ces options sont disponibles. Sachez que le choix des classes de billets dépend à la fois de l'itinéraire et de la durée de votre voyage. En fait, votre train peut avoir des couchettes en première classe, mais vous ne pourrez pas en réserver si vous ne faites qu'un court trajet de deux heures. En général, les couchettes en seconde classe sont un bon choix pour les longs voyages, et les sièges confortables sont adaptés si votre trajet est censé durer moins de 4 ou 5 heures.

Avantages du Voyage en Train

  • L’avantage principal du voyage en train est l'absence d'embouteillages, et cela même aux heures de pointe, pendant les longs week-ends ou la haute saison.
  • Le processus de réservation en ligne est simple. Vous n'avez pas besoin de vous rendre à la gare, alors que c’était encore le cas pour de nombreuses destinations il n'y a pas si longtemps !
  • Les prix des billets de train sont généralement plus abordables que ceux des billets d'avion, alors que pour certaines destinations, la durée totale du trajet peut être presque la même.
  • Si le voyage en train est évidemment plus lent que le voyage en avion, les gares sont souvent situées au cœur de la ville, ce qui vous fait gagner beaucoup de temps pour vous y rendre et en revenir, alors que les aéroports sont presque toujours très éloignés de la ville.
  • Voyager de nuit vous permet d'économiser une nuit d'hôtel mais aussi de bien dormir - contrairement à un bus de nuit où même la classe couchette reste un compromis.
  • Sur certaines lignes, un service de luxe est disponible.

Inconvénients du Voyage en Train

  • Pour les voyages les plus longs, le train prend assurément plus de temps que l’avion.
  • Les trains suivent des horaires fixes, mais des retards sont possibles, et ces retards peuvent être énormes, donc si vous prévoyez une correspondance avec un vol, vérifiez soigneusement l'heure d'arrivée de votre train à la gare et demandez-vous si cela sera suffisant.
  • La propreté laisse parfois à désirer en deuxième et troisième classe, notamment dans les toilettes.
  • Si votre train fait beaucoup d'arrêts, il est parfois difficile de savoir quand descendre car les arrêts ne sont pas toujours clairement annoncés ou signalés, sauf si vous pouvez vérifier sur un écran électronique.

Nha Trang - Da Nang. Nous avons eu une vieille cabine, ce qui est évidemment moins chouette mais nous avons malgré tout passé une bonne nuit. Le personnel était cordial. Le nettoyage de la chambre est toujours approximatif, même chose pour les draps qui ne sentaient pas trop le frais. Les toilettes ont toujours été gardées propres par le personnel, merci pour cela. Ce trajet est donc pratique mais le confort est variable selon la modernité de notre train.

J'ai pensé réserver une cabine pour 4, vu que nous étions 2 couples, mais nous nous sommes retrouvés séparés. Les filles dans un compartiment avec 2 autres filles et nos compagnons idem. Du coup nous n'avons pas pu nous arranger entre nous pour nous installer . D'office nous avons hérité ses couchettes du haut ce qui était compliqué pour nos compagnons qui sont de grands gabarits. Nous avons été assourdis par les annonces haut parleur a côté de nos tête , poussées a fond. Un seul d'entre nous n'a pas pu dormir... Mais les autres oui. Dans tous les cas un voyage aussi long est plus confortable allongé. Au matin plusieurs passage pour ses vente se nouriture que nous n'avons pas testé. Le chef de cabine pas aimable, il semblait nous engueuler a chaque fois qu'il s'adressait a nous .

Impossible de réserver 3 places dans le même compartiment nous n’avons eu que 3 couchettes en haut, alors que dans notre compartiment les 2 du bas étaient vides ! Du coup notre fils n’était pas avec nous ! Le personnel n’est pas toujours très aimable, heureusement certains compensent mais quand même ! Le train était très bruyant !

Très belle expérience Pensez à réserver 4 places si vous souhaitez voyager en cabine de luxe 4 personnes si vous êtes 3 pour profiter pleinement du voyage comme nous l'avons fait Nous étions 2 adultes et 1 enfant

Train en retard de 2 heures, nous n'avons pas le eu le choix des places elles ont été imposées. Il a fallu que l'on paye un supplément de 500000 dong pour avoir une couchette en bas (malheureusement je n'ai aucun reçu), car mon mari ayant un problème a une jambe ne pouvait pas monter dans la couchette du haut au troisième. Cela n'est pas très correct.

Nous avons reçu un émail de confirmation et en se rendant à la gare nous avons reçu nos billets. Le voyage à été excellent mais malheureusement perturbé par la pluie qui nous a empêché de regarder correctement le paysage.

Lit très dur, drap qui recouvre à peine le matelas, les draps et couvertures ne sont pas changé après chaque client…. Je ne pouvais même pas me mettre en position assise tellement l’espace était restreint Réveil à chaque arrêt dans la nuit 4h, 5h, 6h, 7h….

Too expensive for the service, the manager of the wagon was pushing for us to spend more to get a cabin private (we were in a 4 seats/dormitory) compartment i believe he was looking for cah for himself, bossing around on every move we made. compartment was too cold with non possible control of temperature, just less power or more power… restaurant tables were dirty…really bot the experience we were looking for

The bed was very uncomfortable and felt as hard as concrete or wood. The ride was also very bumpy, and the bed was quite small, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. In addition, both the cabin and the toilets were very small and not particularly clean.

Perfect, communication, driver was on time and pick-up / drop-off location as communicated. Very new and comfortable limousine with massage seat :) The drive was relaxing and I felt safe.

The staff were great and friendly. Onboard meals was good in a reasonable price. However 6beds in a cabin isnt a good idea for me. Cant sit, not spacious, a bit uncomfortable.

Journey was nice. Good Train experience. But if you receive seats on the right side of the train, your view isn’t that nice. Sitting on the left side you have an amazing view.

Seat 25 in carriage 2 would not lock into the upright position. It would default to the fully reclined position. It was impossible to sit up without it falling back.

Travel by train is our favourite mode of transport and 12Go made it easy to book and pay in advance. It would have been even better if a menu showing what food and drink was available and the cost.

Operator made us wait as early as 1140 for a 1200 schedule. Turns out we were last to be picked up, so we ended up in the front seats (less comfortable than the plush seats at the back, but nice view). However the nice view also allowed observation of the driver, at some point in the journey (at least 30 minutes, between 1PM - 2PM) a friend of his (likely a driver), called (could hear traffic in the background), then continued with SMS messaging. While the driver is skilled, this is still dangerous as there were times he was texting with both hands, and distracted for a few seconds. No hard brakes or near misses but still a dangerous situation which should call for the driver to be reprimanded that safety is more important than his social chatter with his friend. Also, when the limousine van arrived in Hue, we were transferred to another vehicle (a pickup) for the last 1 km (which I don't understand the reason why) which was IMO unnecessary although the delay was just for a few minutes.

Great! The train was on time to arrive and arrived at my destination on time as well. The staff member in my carriage (5) was great. He remembered my stop and came to get me when we almost arrived. This was great because the English loudspeaker in the train announcing the stops was extremely quiet, and I don’t speak Vietnamese. Vietnamese woman with food carts came by often. The bathroom was clean. I booked a level 1 (lower bunk) 4 bed compartment which was spacious enough, had a pillow and blanket and power outlets. No other passengers had booked the berth I was in so I had the room to myself which was great! Only downside I would say is there were a few children running up and down the carriage screaming, they were just playing and having a good time, but would’ve been helpful if staff managed that better as it was a long train ride!
