Boat was fine, but the transfer was two hours late, and we messaged the company prior but they didn’t say anything about the driver being late, so we had to wander around the whole parking lot while people asked us if we needed rides nonstop. We didn’t know our driver wasn’t there until we messaged the company, only to find out then that they weren’t there. After asking we were told the driver would be 30 minutes late, then showed up 2 hours late. Overall we were 4 hours late to our destination than what was written on our ticket.

I'm sorry to tell that I had a very bad experience. They change my reservation for the 9 am ferry to 11 am, telling that was because of the "bad weather" (the weather was sunny, without a cloud and with calm sea). The 11 am ferry was 1hr and half late. My day was completely ruined: I had a reservation for the Kecak dance at Uluwatu at 18, but I didn't arrive on time.

Gili to Uluwatu. There was no information where the ferry goes to (sanur or padanbai?) and no information if and how the bus transfer to Ulu works. The ferry was tiny as well as the seats. Furthermore I was forced to change seat because of the boat‘s balance (I am 80 kg). The air condition was blowing very cold.

Using this connection was a bit stressful. Couldn’t find checkin counter at Gili Air. Contacted Bali Paradiso 2 days before via Whats App - was told then boat had delayed departure time. Also was told to be careful of “naughty” scam drivers at Padang Bai. (They said I needed internet connection at port so driver could contact me) I said make sure driver has my name & booking ref#.

they contacted us the evening before with all the details regarding our trip, like the meeting points, so their communication was great. the ferry and the van were comfortable, even though the van trip to uluwatu of course took quite long (4 hours). the only negative thing was that the driver seemed very tired while driving. i hope he gets enough time off to rest in between the drives.

When booking the travel from Gili air to padang padang beach it showed me arrival time as 14:20 it was a mix of ferry + shuttle. Apparently the arrival time was only the ferry, not the shuttle bus. However usually that route takes 2 -3 hours depending on traffic. What was not communicated at all was that the shuttle would first drive up into Ubud heavy Traffic to drop of 1 person and only then drive down into the direction of Uluwatu. This added at least 3 hours to the overall drive meaning we arrived after 20:00 in the evening.
