Shinkansen JR West

Very easy...I was worried but all went smooth.

Getting the ticket was easy. The staff was accessible for assisting if I had questions.use it...

I was worried as the prices seemed almost too good but I’ve never had an issue with 12GO so trusted it. I got emailed my vouchers and went to the train station to redeem super easily, I even got to pick my seats! Price was the cheapest I’ve seen too. Don’t hesitate

Quick and efficient

It worked out really well. Instructions said to go to the green ticketing area, but there are at least two and after queueing at one, having asked the attendant, it turned out I needed the other. Having got the ticket I was shown where to go. Bonus. The ticket can be used on ANY train that day. In one of two carriages )1 & 2), and the one I picked had very few people. The seats recline with a lever and have plenty of leg room.!!

I need to support of the officer to get the ticket. There are some problem with your guidance

Easy booking, pickup tickets at station office was fine, train was on time clean smooth and comfy.

Shinkansen arrived on time, the train was clean, fast, and comfortable, and the discount on 12go is huge for foreign tourists!

The AI help/support is not helpful. Despite advising that my booking was from Osaka, the support service kept giving me options to pick up documents from Tokyo office. It has little knowledge on the process required by Japan Rail, which was indeed simple. But because of the misinformation, I lost 2 hours at the train station trying to swap my train tickets.

Nous adorons utiliser le site 12go qui nous permet une réservation facile, sécurisée et sûre, qui nous permet de trouver des itinéraires ainsi que les prix correspondant. D’habitude cela fonctionne très bien. Nous avons néanmoins vécu une déconvenue sur ce trajet Shin Onomichi / Shin Osaka. Nous sommes arrivés à la gare Shin Onomichi depuis Onomichi centre ville, et au moment de retirer nos tickets à partir du QR code comme nous le faisons habituellement, un agent nous a dit qu’il n’était pas possible de le faire depuis la gare de Shin Onomichi. Qu’il fallait retourner à la gare JR Onomichi (au centre ville, d’où l’on venait). Cet aller retour nous a coûté de l’argent et du temps, puisque nous avons par conséquent louper le train à l’horaire choisi et du partir avec le train 2h plus tard. Voilà, seule problématique, qui ne provient pas réellement du site 12go, mais le site 12go nous avait bien indiqué dans le mail de confirmation de réservation : rendez vous à la gare Shin Onomichi pour échanger votre QR code pour un billet Shinkansen.

Overall, a great experience! The staff at the Shin-Osaka JR West Tourist Ticketing and Information Center were so very kind, understanding, and helpful. They really enhanced our experience and made riding the trains less difficult and more exciting.

Smooth and of course fast

Excellent service, the best option to travel long distances in Japan by far.

Exactly on time. Got a reserved seat without asking when I redeemed the official ticket with the 12Go voucher.

Shinkansen experience has always been great. Collecting the tickets and reserving seats was an extra effort but in the end everything was worth it.

Why is it so complicated to get tickets for the actual train when the reservation was made online?

Fast and convinient

It's easy to exchange tickets at the vending machine. Fukuoka station is not very big, so finding it is no problem.

Best public transport experience I've ever had. Quite expensive but great if travelling on a short time frame.
