Hoa Lu Limousine

We were travelling back from Ha Giang to Hanoi. We had booked a VIP limousine 10, what we actually got was a limousine bus. Although the replacement was of acceptable quality, they are not as good as the VIP limousines. The seats are comfortable but don't have as much adjustment in them. The charging points are all USB A, and the one in my seat didn't work anyway. We had booked a 7am pickup but were told the night before that we would be collected at 6:30. We may have booked a later transfer if we'd known about this in advance. The journey itself was fine, the driver was good and we never felt unsafe, unlike others that we've used recently. We stopped twice, once for a quick comfort break and once slightly longer for a lunch stop. There was some confusion on arriving in Hanoi as they were asking us to get off in the wrong location, but this was resolved when I showed them my booking. I would book this kind of bus again if necessary, but it is disappointing when you are downgraded without any explanation or comeback.

Bus was over booked so we had to wait an hour for the next - bus stop is far away from most popular tourist areas so need another 15-20 min grab to get to accommodation in Ninh Binh

Once at the office waiting for departure, no one told us that the van was already there waiting for us and which one it was. We almost missed the departure. Also before that we asked to leave our stuff in the office so we could grab a coffee, they said yes but when we came back the staff was gone and left our luggage unsupervised. They don't speak a word of english. Also the driver was very rude to us when we asked to stop for toilets. They didnt have toilets in the Ninh Binh office and we had to hold it for 2h, it was very painful and the way they drove made it worse.

Missing stars because ive had better experience with other limo and paying the same price or even cheaper. With drop off / pick up transfer (not stated during purchased). It was raining that day(just pure badluck) and limo transfer were not on time. Luckily there’s another passenger who are able to speak vietnamese help out, if not we’d have been lost. Thruout the drive, we arrived hanoi earlier however few times in my sleep during the drive i felt like i was thrown up. But overall, still get to the destination safely. Limo is clean too!! Not the best but not the worst

I thought I’d be picked up at the airport in the limousine and taken directly to Tam Coc but I was picked up in a car which drove me to downtown Hanoi where I waited for the limousine. I was then driven to about 20 minutes from Tam Coc where I was transferred to a SUV which drove me to the Long Hotel in Tam Coc. A bit confusing but I took a leap of faith and ultimately got to where I was going.

The pickup location at Tam Coc Van Lam Pier was a little confusing. Directions told me to go to ticket window and wait. The ticket window is for the boats so the ladies were confused why I was there. I figured out by luck that there was a security guard looking man sitting on a bench under an umbrella. He said to wait here. I got picked up in an suv which was about 15 mins late. They took me to a different location and I boarded the limo. We did get a flat tire on the highway about halfway to Hanoi. The driver got us back on the road in no time. All in all I got to my destination safely and that’s all I really wanted.
