- Il faut savoir que les conducteurs de vans sont connus pour leur conduite rapide. Même les compagnies les plus réputées ne parviennent pas toujours à persuader les conducteurs de respecter les limites de vitesse. Même si le chauffeur de votre van ne vous le demande pas, attachez toujours votre ceinture de sécurité lorsque vous voyagez en van.
- Si vous avez facilement le mal des transports, et que votre voyage comporte des tronçons sinueux, le risque d’être malade est plus élevé en van qu'en bus. Prenez vos médicaments une demi-heure avant le départ pour plus de sécurité.

Camila Le voyage devait être direct jusqu'à Chiang Rai, mais nous avons dû changer deux fois de van. L'un d'eux à Chiang Mai. Et pour aggraver les choses, lorsque nous étions sur le point d'arriver, il s'est arrêté au Temple Blanc pendant 20 minutes, sans que nous sachions pourquoi. Nous avons tous attendu ces 20 minutes pour remonter. Je regrette d'avoir pris le van, c'était moins cher de prendre le bus, même s'il fallait changer en arrivant à Chiang Mai, au final j'ai dû changer deux fois, en payant plus cher.

Elisabeth Nous aurions pu réserver le même voyage à partir de Pai pour moins cher, mais nous avions réservé à l'avance avec 12Go. Ce n'était pas une grande différence et comme nous voyagions en fonction d'un calendrier, cela nous convenait de l'avoir déjà organisé. Donc, pour le voyage....Tout le monde était à l'heure pour quitter Pai, sauf une personne qui a manifestement dormi et, de façon déroutante, nous avons fait demi-tour et sommes retournés le chercher après que le chauffeur ait reçu un appel téléphonique. C'est peut-être pour cette raison que notre chauffeur a conduit comme un maniaque de la vitesse en bas de la colline, rendant mon aînée malade en voiture malgré les doubles comprimés qu'elle avait pris pour lutter contre le mal des transports. Nous avons dû changer de bus à Chiang Mai et notre famille de quatre personnes s'est retrouvée coincée dans les quatre derniers sièges d'un autre minibus. La route entre Chiang Mai et Chiang Rai n'était pas goudronnée à de nombreux endroits en raison de travaux importants, mais notre nouveau chauffeur n'en a pas tenu compte et nous avons pris toutes les bosses à toute vitesse, ce qui a aggravé le mal des transports. L'arrêt pour le déjeuner était horrible et inutilement long, l'arrêt au temple blanc à l'extérieur de Chiang Rai était correct car cela signifiait que nous n'avions pas besoin d'y retourner ! L'arrêt de bus à Chiang Rai se trouvait devant un centre commercial et les chauffeurs de taxi refusaient de nous prendre au compteur. Nous avons finalement négocié une course jusqu'à notre auberge pour 80 bahts. Une journée très longue et inconfortable, mais qui nous a permis d'arriver à bon port !

HAGER Voyage beaucoup plus long que ce qui était annoncé. Arrivés avec plus de 3h30 de retard à destination, où on nous a lâché au bord de la route à presque minuit à 10km du centre ville. Nous n'avons pas pu rejoindre notre guesthouse réservée en centre ville... Par ailleurs le trajet entre la frontière et luang Namtha s'est fait avec plus de personnes dans le bus que de places disponibles...

Andy Nous avons rencontré le chauffeur au bureau à l'heure prévue, mais nous aurions pu le prendre à l'hôtel si nous l'avions su. Nous avons dû attendre un grand groupe qui était en retard, donc l'arrêt pour le petit déjeuner a été beaucoup plus court afin de respecter l'heure de rendez-vous à Chiang Mai pour le bus de Chiang Rai. Arrêt déjeuner et arrêt temple blanc dans ce bus donc nous aurions pu arriver plus tôt sans arrêt. Dans l'ensemble, nous sommes satisfaits du service.

Marylene Le transport s’est bien passé. À Pai, à 6h30am il n’y avait personne au point de rencontre (Greenn terminal) donc je croyais « m’être fait avoir » mais à 7h05 un minivan s’est arrêté pour me prendre comme réservé. Il y a un transfert de minivan (aux environs de Chiang Mai je crois) le 2e chauffeur je le trouvais un peu « casse-cou » J’ai failli lui rappeler que mon but était d’arriver en un seul morceau à Chiang Rai...

Vivien Le voyage s'est bien déroulé, même si un enfant a dû passer à la trappe et que cela ne sentait pas bon. La seule chose que nous n'avons pas comprise, c'est que nous devions payer un supplément pour être amenés à l'aéroport. Michael Service fantastique. Il est venu nous chercher à notre hôtel et nous a emmenés directement à Pai sans avoir à changer de bus.
Le bus n'était pas bondé, l'air conditionné était bon et nous nous sommes arrêtés à mi-chemin pour une pause toilettes / nourriture (bien nécessaire car les routes venteuses peuvent provoquer des nausées chez les meilleurs d'entre nous).

Samuel Wchaos. You have to get off the bus at one border, pass through, back on another, get off again, pass through the laos border, then back on another bus. felt like being herded sheep. Laos border tried scamming us for "stamping fee" on passports, no support through the border passage etc as we had evisa's so staff focused on those getting visas on arrival. Just told "wait for my friend" at the other side of the border, no way of knowing who this was and he didnt know our names either, very little real organisation and so much potential to have gone wrong. Bus wasn't particularly comfy either. 15 mins late

Alexander BThe coach from Pai - Chiang Mai was nice, spacious etc. however our driver stopped in Chiang Mai and put us onto a different coach to Chiang Rai which was packed, we were put in the very back and had to split 1 seat between 2 of us for several hours as the bags were taking up the boot and the other chair space, very uncomfortable and hot

India RArrived at the terminal and was immediately told that we wouldn’t be allowed on the bus unless we paid extra for our bags, which we asked for further clarification about due to the fact we’ve taken probably a dozen bus journeys over the last two months, and haven’t had to pay extra once.
Then the man in charge came over and begun screaming in our faces, physically intimidating us and accusing us of being liars.
He said we were lying about paying for luggage even though we’d never said that, he’d just misunderstood us and immediately gone mental!
He told us we weren’t allowed on the bus even when we tried to give him the money and essentially he left us stranded in pai alone.
The man most likely wouldn’t have spoken to two men like this but, as we were two young girls he essentially bullied and verbally berated us.

Emily RPai to Chiang Mai van was good but the second one was so uncomfortable (that doesn’t describe it at all) and there was mold all around the AC vents. So the two stars are because of the first van.

Kelsie JThe first bus coming into chiang mai from pai was extremely comfortable and spacious for the 1.5 hour journey it took. However the second bus we got moved to driving to chiang rai which is longer roughly 3.5 hours was not so comfy and felt very squished. Seats were very verticle and no one had room to recline the seats. The driver was super nice and always made sure to tell us if there was a longer stretch with no stops ensuring everyone to get snacks/ bathroom breaks if needed before. Overall it was a good experience and felt safe. Good cheap option to get from Pai to chiang Rai! Would do it again.

Fine with leaving on time and arrived pretty much on time.

Huw WReally good company. They help you through the laos border and was a smooth transition. MAKE SURE YOUR DOLLAR OR CURRENCY YOU PAY FOR IS FLAT AND PERFECT. they will not let you in otherwise. If you can get your hands on dollars it's the best rate. The bus from the border to the train is very bumpy so be prepared but as far as the company they are very good and I would recommend using them. The staff are great and very kind and you get a lunch included, which is never a bad thing.

JoAnna MWe made it safely to our destination. The driver was fast but kept us safe. The van was not very clean but comfortable enough. We were allowed 4 luggage and had 3 luggage and 1 wheelchair. So we thought that would all be covered for the 4 as paid and listed when booked. I was unhappy to have to pay an extra 200 baht for an assistive device.overall ok experience.

Malena BThe driver was so lovely. Went from chiang mai to the Laos border, took 6 hours in total with 3 stops along the way. I can’t fault the driver, I felt very safe. I was the only person going to Huay Xai, everyone else was going to chiang rai, so spent the remaining 2 hours on my own. Amazing service! Got picked up at 7:15am the next day with a tuktuk and I was guided on what to do. Everything went smoothly! The slow boat was amazing and I HIGHLY recommend, the scenes are incredible. Definitely get yourself outside on the front of the boat to really take everything in. 10/10
