The Northern Kyushu Area Pass provides unlimited train travel for 3 or 5 consecutive days across northern Kyushu, including vibrant cities like Fukuoka, Nagasaki, Beppu, and Kumamoto, along with their surrounding areas.

It covers the Kyushu Shinkansen (up to Kumamoto), limited express, and local trains but does not include the Sanyo Shinkansen or private railways. Perfect for convenient and flexible exploration!

Northern Kyushu Area Pass Coverage

• Unlimited rides on all JR Kyushu trains in the Northern Kyushu area.
• Reserved and non-reserved seats on all local trains, limited express trains, and Shinkansen (cannot be used for the area between Hakata and Kokura).
• Kyushu Shinkansen between Hakata and Kumamoto

How to use the Northern Kyushu Area Pass?

1. To activate your JR Kyushu Rail Pass, bring your voucher and passport to one of the designated ticket offices listed below.
2. Present both documents in person to receive your pass.

Important information

• Ticket Office Hours - open daily from 7:00 am.
• Sanyo Shinkansen between Hakata and Kokura is not included. You can use limited express trains instead.
• Please reserve seats as soon as possible for the following trains:
