Harriet JLe persone dell'ufficio viaggi di Bangkok ci hanno portato al terminal degli autobus e ci hanno lasciato lì senza alcuna istruzione. Ci siamo chiesti dove andare e abbiamo cercato aiuto, ma nessuno conosceva la nostra compagnia. Nouchkine SL'autobus era un po' economico, con molta aria condizionata, il sedile era rotto e non potevo sdraiarmi. Ma c'è stata una fermata con cibo adeguato, acqua gratuita e uno spuntino. Un po' caro per quello che è. Credo che la scelta dell'autobus sia molto semplice.

Pierre MAbbastanza agevole, il supporto di 12go mi ha aiutato subito tramite whatsapp quando c'è stato un problema con l'email che ho fornito. L'agenzia di viaggio era efficiente e sembrava abbastanza affidabile. L'operatore è stato gentile. Ci hanno portato con circa due ore di anticipo dall'agenzia di viaggio alla stazione centrale degli autobus, quindi abbiamo dovuto aspettare lì, ma c'è un 7-11 e alcuni negozi. Il ragazzo che si occupava dei passeggeri in questo autobus era molto gentile e sorridente, ha cercato di aiutare tutti e ha compensato la sua mancanza di inglese con la sua buona volontà. Ci ha dato un panino al burro e dell'acqua. C'è stata una sosta a circa 5 ore di viaggio per poter mangiare in un ristorante dell'autostrada scambiando il biglietto dell'autobus con un pasto, era molto buono. La fermata è stata abbastanza veloce, quindi fate attenzione a non lasciare che l'autobus vada via senza di voi.
Siamo arrivati alla stazione degli autobus di Chiang Mao e non alla guest house annunciata dal sito web, ma non ci importava perché non avevamo intenzione di soggiornarvi. Ma sembra che la cosa abbia infastidito una famiglia che aveva viaggiato con noi e che era piuttosto seccata per il disguido.
L'autobus era ok, sono riuscito a dormire abbastanza bene, cosa insolita per me in questi scenari, il sedile era abbastanza reclinabile e lo spazio per le gambe era buono, sono piuttosto alto quindi ho finito per avere una gamba fuori nel vicolo centrale dell'autobus e schiacciare l'altra tra le nostre borse, dato che non c'erano compartimenti di stoccaggio sopra la testa, quindi ho dovuto metterle sotto il sedile di fronte a noi.
Vi consigliamo di mettere in valigia una giacca o un maglione leggero per l'aria condizionata che funzionerà per tutto il viaggio se siete inclini a prendere il raffreddore, così come dei tappi per le orecchie o delle cuffie per la cancellazione del rumore, dato che i ventilatori e l'aria condizionata sono molto rumorosi. Siamo arrivati abbastanza riposati a Chiang Mai e siamo riusciti a fare un'intera giornata a piedi dopo il viaggio. Non abbiamo sentito il bisogno di dormire e non ci siamo sentiti stanchi durante il giorno. Come autobus notturno, quindi, serve allo scopo, anche se sembra uscito direttamente dai primi anni 2000 e fa un bel po' di rumore.

Davy GDoveva essere un VIP, ma non mi sono sentito più VIP dell'autobus espresso che ho preso al ritorno. Anche se l'Express era un po' più economico.

Grace GL'autobus non era quello della foto e non c'erano né TV né snack, come già detto. Sono alta 1,70 quindi era molto scomodo per una persona alta, ma ho avuto modo di sedermi davanti e avevo le gambe appoggiate alla ringhiera di fronte a me (ero all'ultimo piano) e ho notato che anche le altre persone lo facevano nelle altre file e mi sono svegliata con l'autista dell'autobus che mi ha schiaffeggiato le gambe, capisco che forse potrebbe essere scortese nella loro cultura, ma non c'era bisogno di schiaffeggiarmi mentre stavo dormendo.
Una nota positiva è che il viaggio è stato molto più veloce del previsto, quasi 2 ore prima del previsto e sono stata accompagnata alla mia camera d'albergo, il che è stato fantastico visto che siamo arrivati alla stazione verso le 5 del mattino.
I dipendenti della 12go sono molto disponibili e non hanno creato alcuna confusione, il che è stato ottimo per una prima esperienza.
La prossima volta sceglierei il più costoso VIP sleeper bus in futuro, perché è stato molto difficile dormire.

Emily BPoorly organised bus services. Following arrival at pier, BBC did not clearly communicate with passengers. Passengers were advised that there would be a 10 minute wait, which increased to an hour without being told. Passengers went without food during the wait in case of missing bus however there was plenty of time. From the pier there was a mini van transfer to the bus depot, my husband and I were in the last row between luggage and had to climb over seats and sit with our knees up. Once we got to the depot, the bus was not as advertised. Old, no USB ports down stairs, WIFI was not available and no snack was provided. Again there was an hour wait at the depot which was advertised as 10 minutes. Poor communication, uncomfortable, chairs broken. Would avoid at all costs. The only reason I have scored a 2 is the ferry via SeaTran is prompt and comfortable.

Ronja BNot a VIP buss at all, had way better buses on other trips in Thailand. The pickup was not in time, and it was a small van with non working AC completely full with other people, and was stuck for a couple of hours in that van, before next stop that only had water and chips as only option for food. And then another van again, complete full again, and then another stop and now it’s around 6 in the evening, nobody informs you about what’s going on. And here we had to stay for another hour and they only had two options of food which was laying in plastic boxes in the outside temperature.. and if you don’t want food poisoning you can’t eat that. And then finally a buss after more than half of the trip, also completely full, no possibility too charged your phone. One stop after that in the middle of the night, and then we arrived at 5:20 in Bangkok. All in all not a good experience, but we made it to Bangkok.

Anneke QBuses were on time and pretty comfortable, but communication was very poor. At the transfer point from the van to the bus, we had a 3h lay-over, which no one ever communicated. Also, they provided no informations about what stops there would be on the bus ride (toilet, store for water etc.) or about the setup of the bus.

Julie DI booked a vip bus to be comfortable to sleep during the journey and they did o erbook it so we ended up me and other people on little bench in the down part of the bus with the luggage.
Very uncomfortable and impossible to sleep. The toilet was also not usable.if I wanted this kind of experience I would have paid for a low cost ticket. The changes were fluent tho and quite well organized.

Margot BIn Samui you’ll have someone giving you the ferry ticket approx. 30 min before the departure. If you wanna buy food or drinks before the night, do it in Samui : when you arrive at Surat Thani there’s directly a transfer before getting into the bus for the night (we waited for 20mim for the transfer to go because they wanted to make sure everyone was there, then 1h or so for the night bus to arrive). You cannot buy anything there.
Bus is like 25people, and you have a break around 0.30/1.00 for 30 min where you can buy drinks and food if you couldn’t at Surat Thani.
Still the best bus company for us for night travels.

Olivia CThe service in terms of getting our information, getting to the bus and transferring to our hotel was great however on the bus itself we had issues. Our seats were the third row from the back (two seats together) we firstly had very wobbly seats which we realised was due to a loose screw underneath the seats which could not be tightened. Secondly the outside seat recliner did not work so my friend had to sit upright for the whole journey which was not comfortable or enjoyable for her. The price we paid and the “VIP” standard was not reflected in this service due to the issue with the seats, a recliner seat should be in working condition or stated otherwise.

After changing vehicles for my final destination, the driver asked me for money to take me to my hotel, even though it was supposed to be included in the fare, especially since we had already passed my hotel during the trip. Jelena MThe bus was late and also not in good condition, it looked like it was from the 1960s, most of the USB ports were broken, some seats could not be reclined, very little leg room. The staff was far from polite and professional. When we arrived at the place where we need to transfer to another bus the staff simply started screaming in the middle of the night and scared the living shit out of everyone on the bus that was asleep or half asleep. They were screaming everyone heading to Phuket get off here, when what they actually meant was Everyone needs to get off the bus so there was a lot if confusion due to bad communication on their end. The screaming staff was the worst I have ever encountered, and can just say if you travel with them don’t expect anything even close to the word of customer service
