Wir würden empfehlen an den Haltestellen möglichst passend zu zahlen, da wir leider abgezogen wurden.
Möglicherweise lag es an Songkran, allerdings ist der Abfahrtort bei uns ein anderer gewesen, als in der App stand.
Für zusätzliche 300 Bath pro Person wurden wir gut von der Fähre zum Hotel gefahren.
Es hat alles einwandfrei geklappt. Klar ist es eine sehr lange und anstrengende Reise, aber der Ablauf funktioniert gut. Leider ist die Kommunikation mit den Angestellten etwas schwierig, da sie davon ausgehen, dass alle über den genauen Ablauf Bescheid wissen. Nach Austausch mit anderen Travellern weiß ich, dass sich der VIP-Bus lohnt zu buchen. Ablauf: Anmeldung - Busfahrt 10h mit drei Zusteige-Stopps, 1h Aufenthalt auf einer Raststation ( 6 a.m.), Shuttle mit Kleinbus zur Fähre (ca. 1,5h), Fähre-Überfahrt (ca. 1,5h)
I felt I was shuffled about like a bit of cattle. 1st bus was a partybus, not fitted for overnight travel (not even USB charger).
They stopped us at midnight for dinner at a very dodgy place. Filthy, people not welcoming, pushy for sales and overpriced. I didn't eat, too dirty and noodles looked like they had been dead for some time.
Then we had to wait at Surat for next bus for1 hour in the very early hours. And That bus should go for scrap: old, dirty, rickety and A/C leaking all over us.
Ferry was ok luckily, as was the last van to my place, although driver was a tad rude.
NOT a journey I'recommend. Going through Chumpon with Lomphraya is a totally different experience.
4 hours too late. Because the bus hit another bus during parking. They need to wait for the insurance and they needed to repair the mirror of the bus till we could continue driving. Change the seat was not free because the boss did not allow. This is not written in the contract. The seats are not very comfortable. Going by ferry was in time and good.
We were left in the middle of no where early in the morning when we were to transfer to another bus. No one knew what to do and how long we were waiting. So it was confusing and stressful and tiring. Man muss sich im Klaren sein, dass man um 5 morgens aus dem Bus geworfen wird, ohne viel Information. Dann quetscht man sich samt Gepäck auf die Ladefläche eines Pickups. Der Fahrer wirft einen irgendwo raus und zeigt auf einen Minibus. Der wiederum schmeißt einen raus und zeigt erneut auf einen Pickup. Letzteres bring einem zur Fähre, wo man ca. 2,5 std. auf die nächste Fähre wartet, welche ca 2 std nach Koh Samui fährt. Dort angekommen sollte man sich im Vorhinein um einen Transport kümmern. Wir dachten wir könnten einen günstigen Transport über Grab buchen, aber leider war kein Fahrer anzufinden, weshalb wir für 700 B. vor Ort ein überteuertes Taxi nehmen mussten.
