Julia LWe booked our tickets online through 12GoAsia to take the ferry from Cebu to Bohol. The receipt stated that we needed to exchange the tickets for physical ones at the ticket counter. Since we didn’t know where to do this, we went to the vendor’s sales counter. It is located across from the passenger terminal in a side alley. There was total chaos there. It was loud, dirty, and extremely hot. It took us 45 minutes to get to the ticket counter because only two counters were open. The lady at the counter told us that we couldn’t get our tickets here, but had to go to the passenger terminal, so we had wasted our time waiting unnecessarily. The actual ticket counter is located in the hall where the gates to board the ferry are. This should be communicated more clearly to avoid unnecessary stress. At the actual check-in counter, we had to wait another 20 minutes. We would recommend the business class ticket, especially if you buy it online in advance, because the ticket sales process is terrible. Unfortunately, the ferry was delayed by one hour in departure and, as a result, arrived one hour late. For us, that was actually good, because otherwise we wouldn’t have made it in time. Other than the confusion with the tickets, everything went smoothly, and the ferry was relatively new, and you barely noticed the waves. Additionally, with the business class ticket (which costs only 22€ instead of 15€), you can keep your backpacks and suitcases with you and have enough space to store them in the seating area. We would highly recommend the ferry, as long as you book the tickets in advance and go directly to the hall rather than the sales counter.
