Hanoi to Sapa Destination Reviews

AS
Very clean bus from Sao Viet Bus, bus was 40min late, the departure point can be a bit confusing as there is no Sapa Ethnic travel office anywhere.

Our driver ended up leaving much earlier than expected. Luckily for us we too were early and he didn’t leave without us. They then proceeded to pull over every half an hour to make phone calls which made us much later than usual. Our vehicle also kept smoking from the engine which terrified all passengers. I wouldn’t recommend this company for a bus as they’re just wildly inappropriate!

Sapa Ethnic was operated by Sao Viet. The bus was 15 mins late (that's fine, there is an office where you can wait in Hanoi), but we arrived 1 hour later in Sapa (I guess because they made several stops so others could board and get off, but also for dropping off / collecting packages for delivery which was a bit annoying).

Hired the VIP (more expensive than normal buses) limousine looking for a more comfortable trip and ended up in the back seats, with my legs barely fitting and a bunch of luggage next to me.

Very clean but Wifi didn’t work and the driver was a a little bit aggressive driver. Unfortunately couldn’t sleep the whole night. Perfect shuttle organisation when we have arrived in Sapa.

On time and comfortable! I just wish the stops were quicker (first stop took 20 mins and the second 30 mins). Also wish they told in advance we were not allowed to take food inside the bus…
