Country Manager (India; China & Hong Kong)

Requirements:

  • applicants of any nationality can apply for these roles
  • 3+ years experience, ideally doing business development or a similar function in the travel and tourism industry.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to operate with minimal oversight.
  • E-Commerce experience is not required, but would be highly valued.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Depending on your location you should be able to manage any visa/residency issues independently.
  • 2+ years working experience in the region and a strong professional network.
  • Hindi, Chinese or any other local language is a strong plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with transportation providers and other important stakeholders.
  • Direct selection, contract negotiation and onboarding of transport operators and additional inventory providers.
  • Manage the booking process and any customer support issues that may arise with the goal of streamlining operations.
  • Market analysis and evaluation of the unique opportunities available in the region.
  • Understanding of industry trends such as the competitive landscape and general business ecosystem.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders - Marketing, Inventory, Support and Affiliate Management - but ultimately responsible for all non-technical aspects of the business in the country.
  • Collaborate with programmers and developers to implement necessary features both specific to your market and for the overall organization.
  • Track development progress and provide regular updates
  • Identify and pursue potential new revenue and marketing channels

Middle/Senior PHP developer (remote)

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of PHP and MySQL
  • Ability to structure existing legacy code under CTO's guidance
  • English (basic knowledge) + Russian (due to a Russian speaking IT team)

Requirements:

  • PHP on a template level
  • Experience with task runners (Grunt) and bundlers

Main responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain existing products
  • Writing reusable, testable and efficient code
  • Permanent progressive refactoring — parts of the system you touch should be left in a better state than before
  • Optimize applications' performance
