What are the Bus Classes & Prices of Bangkok Travel Plus?
The price of your bus trip will depend both on the destination and the class of your ticket. Note that not all ticket classes are available on certain routes yet for longer trips there is almost always a good choice of options. Opt for a sleeper coach for the most convenient overnight trip. Emily BPoorly organised bus services. Following arrival at pier, BBC did not clearly communicate with passengers. Passengers were advised that there would be a 10 minute wait, which increased to an hour without being told. Passengers went without food during the wait in case of missing bus however there was plenty of time. From the pier there was a mini van transfer to the bus depot, my husband and I were in the last row between luggage and had to climb over seats and sit with our knees up. Once we got to the depot, the bus was not as advertised. Old, no USB ports down stairs, WIFI was not available and no snack was provided. Again there was an hour wait at the depot which was advertised as 10 minutes. Poor communication, uncomfortable, chairs broken. Would avoid at all costs. The only reason I have scored a 2 is the ferry via SeaTran is prompt and comfortable.

Ronja BNot a VIP buss at all, had way better buses on other trips in Thailand. The pickup was not in time, and it was a small van with non working AC completely full with other people, and was stuck for a couple of hours in that van, before next stop that only had water and chips as only option for food. And then another van again, complete full again, and then another stop and now it’s around 6 in the evening, nobody informs you about what’s going on. And here we had to stay for another hour and they only had two options of food which was laying in plastic boxes in the outside temperature.. and if you don’t want food poisoning you can’t eat that. And then finally a buss after more than half of the trip, also completely full, no possibility too charged your phone. One stop after that in the middle of the night, and then we arrived at 5:20 in Bangkok. All in all not a good experience, but we made it to Bangkok.

Anneke QBuses were on time and pretty comfortable, but communication was very poor. At the transfer point from the van to the bus, we had a 3h lay-over, which no one ever communicated. Also, they provided no informations about what stops there would be on the bus ride (toilet, store for water etc.) or about the setup of the bus.

Julie DI booked a vip bus to be comfortable to sleep during the journey and they did o erbook it so we ended up me and other people on little bench in the down part of the bus with the luggage.
Very uncomfortable and impossible to sleep. The toilet was also not usable.if I wanted this kind of experience I would have paid for a low cost ticket. The changes were fluent tho and quite well organized.

Margot BIn Samui you’ll have someone giving you the ferry ticket approx. 30 min before the departure. If you wanna buy food or drinks before the night, do it in Samui : when you arrive at Surat Thani there’s directly a transfer before getting into the bus for the night (we waited for 20mim for the transfer to go because they wanted to make sure everyone was there, then 1h or so for the night bus to arrive). You cannot buy anything there.
Bus is like 25people, and you have a break around 0.30/1.00 for 30 min where you can buy drinks and food if you couldn’t at Surat Thani.
Still the best bus company for us for night travels.

Olivia CThe service in terms of getting our information, getting to the bus and transferring to our hotel was great however on the bus itself we had issues. Our seats were the third row from the back (two seats together) we firstly had very wobbly seats which we realised was due to a loose screw underneath the seats which could not be tightened. Secondly the outside seat recliner did not work so my friend had to sit upright for the whole journey which was not comfortable or enjoyable for her. The price we paid and the “VIP” standard was not reflected in this service due to the issue with the seats, a recliner seat should be in working condition or stated otherwise.

After changing vehicles for my final destination, the driver asked me for money to take me to my hotel, even though it was supposed to be included in the fare, especially since we had already passed my hotel during the trip. Jelena MThe bus was late and also not in good condition, it looked like it was from the 1960s, most of the USB ports were broken, some seats could not be reclined, very little leg room. The staff was far from polite and professional. When we arrived at the place where we need to transfer to another bus the staff simply started screaming in the middle of the night and scared the living shit out of everyone on the bus that was asleep or half asleep. They were screaming everyone heading to Phuket get off here, when what they actually meant was Everyone needs to get off the bus so there was a lot if confusion due to bad communication on their end. The screaming staff was the worst I have ever encountered, and can just say if you travel with them don’t expect anything even close to the word of customer service

Julien C2 vans transfer that wasn't explicitly told. No informations about when pause, how much time... And the worst : the bus place was very bad : a non-folding seat, impossible to sleep in a "night bus", no seat belt, shaky driving, no functional socket for charging the phone...
Oh and I almost forget : almost 2 hours late for the pickup, without having been warned !

Do not go by the things mentioned in the amenities because none of them were provided, the charging points are broken, not even a water bottle was given you can forget about snacks and food.
The seats were very uncomfortable. We couldn’t even stretch our legs. Forget about sleeping.
Initially was taken to a place three hours away in a mini bus, then transfer to this So called bus.
A very bad experience, wouldn’t suggest to anybody
Keep your expectations low if you’re booking one.

Chloe MThe bus departed 2 hours left, we had little information regarding this, when asked we were told they were waiting on another bus coming however, a bus that had been sitting there the whole time we were waiting was used. The bus was listed as VIP with wifi, chargers etc, there was no wifi and the under seat chargers did not work. Driver was pretty grumpy too. Seats did recline right back and a blanket was provided. We arrived into Bangkok over 2 hours later than scheduled, thankfully made my next flight.

Prachi Gbus from Krabi to Bangkok: I booked ao nang transfer to bangkok khao San road and the description said that we will transfer to different van or bus in surat thani and that is actually what is happening. The same van which picked me up also took us from ao nang to surat thani. The van driver from ao nang to surat thani was playing English pop songs on a display screen TV so that was a good entertainment as I never get to watch videos of the songs I listen all the time. We reached surat thani stop at 7:06 PM starting from 4:00 PM at my pickup. Bus started moving at 8:10 PM from surat thani and they stared boarding around 7:50 pm ish. Seats full reclining as expected and 2+1 structure so spacious. No wifi or atleast no password given. Blankets given but nothing else. AC was not too cold initially and later it was manageable with the blanket they gave. Bus dropped us few minutes before 5:30 AM.
Regarding pickup, be patient and someone will come to pick up at your hotel. I was getting nervous because my time was 3:30 pm in the ticket but I was picked up at 4:00 PM so I contacted the Bangkok bus travel's Whatsapp number (I just tried the number given in 12goAsia's ticket and it worked and they replied promptly).
No water or snacks were given which was fine with me. The bus stopped around midnight for less than 20 minutes at a big food court kind of area with really good and clean posh bathrooms. There were also bathrooms and food options to buy during the transfer at surat thani.
