Passenger reviews out of total 42,222 passengers traveled with us on this route

At 12Go our operators offer three types of service:

Cheap, Fast, Good - but you can usually pick only two of them!
Cheap & Fast won’t be Good. (e.g. buses from/to Khao San Road, local buses or 3rd class trains)
Cheap & Good won’t be Fast. (e.g. VIP trains in Thailand)
Fast & Good won’t be Cheap. (e.g. private limousine services, or VIP24 buses vs Express buses)

Make your choice! Please remember that though we are closely monitoring services, we are still an agency marketplace - meaning we focus on ticketing service and route availability / coverage rather than on factual seat recline angle you got today ^_^

Good bus!
★★★☆☆ Oct 22, 2017 (train #85 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways) :
First the good - very efficient - got us to Suranthani 15 mins early! The first class coupes are very cute and compact; bed linen very clean and comfortable. But the train is not particularly clean and the loos are quite icky. The attendant efficient enough in making up the bed and once done - not particularly interested in anything else. The catering guy was quite efficient though. Food was expensive (260 bht) but it was a lot - soup chicken, rice, curry, muffin and a fruit. We had 2 meals between 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids). 12go asia ticket booking was fab; ticket pick up was very easy.

Clean and comfortable. There was only a delay of about 30 minutes because one of the wagons was broken. Clearly the engineers are on top of it

This time we traveled again with joint tickets to Koh Samui. Service by 12go.asia, at Hualamphong and Lompraya was excellent.

★★★★☆ Sep 30, 2017 (train #37 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways) :
The bed is comfortable enough to sleep while moving. Bed sheets, bed cover, pillow cover and curtains are fresh and clean. Operators often check the cars for security. And they are friendly. And oh the restaurant is such a great experience. Please eat there instead of eating in your seats. It's worth it. And food is good. Could be an interesting date with your significant half.

★★☆☆☆ Sep 29, 2017 (train #85 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways) :
The train food turned out to be very expensive - nothing is included even if you are first class. 2x orange juice, some weird fruit, 1x vegetarian dinner, 2x breakfast with coffee = 970 baht. The food was dreadful and all veggie meals tasted the same. Morning egg made us sick. We never paid this much for very simple and few foods elsewhere in Thailand - beware of this scam. The 1st class was not 1st classy at all - broken arm handle and the table, uncomfortable beds and very loud carriage. Eyemask and earplugs are a must. The train left and arrived on time.
★★★☆☆ Sep 28, 2017 (train #85 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways) :
1st class sleeper was basic but clean. Beer salesman is a scammer. Dinner was OK, avoid breakfast. Nice adventure.

12go.asia did the best job possible. We booked at 1am a trip for the same day and not only we that no problem but they also arranged to get 1st class tickets as specified in the comments. The 1st class is good with nice service, lockable doors and fairly comfortable beds.
★★★★★ Sep 25, 2017 (train #85 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways) :

★★★☆☆ Sep 23, 2017 (bus Express, Lignite) :
Relatively accommodating, but cabin steward was pretty rude. Getting rest was a chore. It was cheap though, so overall you get what you're willing to pay for.
★★★★☆ Sep 22, 2017 (train #85 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways) :
Smooth crossing. Straight forward journey, no problems.
★★★☆☆ Sep 21, 2017 (train #85 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways) :
The experience made this a great adventure. The 1st class sleepers definitely need a refurb - the bathroom facilities leave a lot to be desired. We found them to be dirty and smellie and the teenagers preferred to hold on rather than use them! The food on board was tasty but expensive. You could bring your own but you could also buy from the industrious locals who board the train at various stations within Bangkok to sell you food. Whilst the food was tasty I wouldn't recommend the restaurant car - it was a long way from first class. Please can you give the carriages a good clean and paint and do some maintenance. The bed linen was great, fresh and clean and a lovely cotton blanket although we were cold as the aircon cannot be changed and it was cold.

★★★★★ Sep 16, 2017 (bus Express, Lignite) :
Everything was fine. Nice staff good bus.
★★★☆☆ Sep 15, 2017 (train #85 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways) :
If your expecting, English first class, lower your expectations now! Take your own food and drink on, check out your window before you unlock your door, sometimes locals jump on the train and try and sell you their food or drink!! Ear plugs would be useful, the space is small but after the beds were made up and we settled in for the night, you get to watch the world go by, I loved it, my husband was not so convinced!! It was an experience and adventure.
★★★★★ Sep 15, 2017 (train #85 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways) :
Well organised!
★★★★★ Sep 13, 2017 (train #85 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways) :
Very clean. We read that the airconditioning was set to cold, but if you close the curtans it warms up in no time.
★★★★☆ Sep 12, 2017 (train #85 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways) :
Really good fun with our twin boys (6). The organisation and help from 12Go made it very easy. We travelled second class. Not luxurious but about what we expected and the food was OK too. There was a 2hr delay ( but these things happen) but we were still able to catch the next ferry to Koh Phangan so even this did not cause too much of a problem.
★★★★☆ Sep 11, 2017 (train #43 Class II AC, Thai Railways) :

We took the 2nd class train (with AC) and it was very nice! We both slept at the bottom bunks. (Much more comfortable and a little wider than the top bunk.) There was a lady and a man who were selling snacks and morning hot chocolate in the morning. I think it got much cleaner than before, as there weren't any cockroaches or anything like that (which I often saw 5-10 years ago). Overall, it was a very pleasant ride!
★★☆☆☆ Sep 2, 2017 (train #85 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways) :
Seats and beds were comfy, food was horrible and over priced. Before we left some dodgy guy came into the cabin trying to force us into paying for over priced beer which he had "smuggled" on

Perfect except for the space for my legs. It's a main problem I experience in Thailand because I'm tall but the welcoming smiles of the air hostesses make you forget the little discomfort! Good job!
★★★★☆ Aug 27, 2017 (train #83 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways) :
Great service from start to end, 12goasia replied to all my queries very quickly - confirmation, payment and picking up the tickets was easy and the office building is perfectly located across the street from the station. We chose a first class cabin for two, it was clean and comfortable, and we slept surprisingly well on the overnight journey. Also we can highly recommend the on board set menu for 190 Baht for a 5 course meal of authentic thai food! They woke us up 15 minutes before our stop so no worries about missing it. Only downside was the traditional hole in the ground toilet, fine at the start of the journey but since it is shared between 20 or so people and not cleaned during the 11 hour journey, I'd say it's best to wait til you get to your destination...

We booked 2 lower births on the train however the lower birth can easily fit 2 people so next time would be comfortable to book one lower and one upper in order to leave a lower for someone else. Exit 3 at the Bangkok Railway station has some good and inexpensive restaurants while you are waiting for your train to depart. We ordered takeaways there. Much better than the train food at a fraction of the cost.

12goAsia handled everything perfectly. They are not at fault. However, the train itself was literally crawling with bugs. Not just one or two, but an infestation. All sizes and kinds. They would literally run over our arms while we were reading. Made for a very unpleasant journey, and very little sleep.

I travelled on a first class cabin with air conditioning, although it was too cold the night was good. As you board on the train the staff comes to ask you for dinner and breakfast. ( Do not expect anything ). Prepare yourself, They don't speak English so well. Later They come to prepare beds.

All good - except for excruciatingly many roaches all around us on that train.
★★★★☆ Aug 9, 2017 (train #85 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways) :
12go staff in Bangkok were friendly and efficient. Train was a pretty cool adventure. One thing - traveling as a couple you really should be allocated one lower and one upper bunk. We were allocated 2 upper bunks and this was pretty hard to manage in an enclosed space, with people also trying to get into their lower bunks. (The couple on our block who had the lower bunks had a lovely time!) Train staff were very efficient. Beds were clean. Food in the dining car was pretty good. Train arrived on time. Overall quite enjoyable!
★★★★★ Aug 7, 2017 (train #85 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways) :
Sufficient space for luggage. Had foldable tables so could play cards before going to sleep. Beds were completely prepared for us. Can get food and non alcoholic drinks on the train. Sleep was ok. Trunk beds good to stretch out only for body size up to 185cm.
★★☆☆☆ Aug 7, 2017 (train #85 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways) :
Service at the DOB office in BKK was great. Very quick, helpful and kind. The Panthip bus after the fine train ride was a bad experience though. The agent started yelling at me loudly, hitting me twice!, and telling me off before I even saw her coming because I was doing as suggested and walking INTO the Panthip office/restaurant. She accosted me right off the train. Asked if we could stop to grab a water bottle and she nastily yelled no, so we went to the bus and sat on it for nearly an hour before departure. Then came on the bus and told me and my wife off there too for not knowing she was the agent. On top of that, they failed to mention the toilet on the bus is out of order and so it can be quite uncomfortable after 1 hour wait + 1.5 hour ride to ferry ! Just fly or go with another company than Panthip for bus and boat.
