Maria VThe day before we had the trip we got a message that the bus left one hour earlier and was a cabin bus. The cabin was horrible. No window, very small, could not sit, driver was unfriendly and could not speak one word English. I felt very sick because I could not see were to go and orientate. It was like a cage.

Mario FAll was well except the bus was 2 hours late to arrive at Sapa. It was supposed to be a 6 hour drive turning into an 8 hour drive. But overall its great value for money.

Raquel LThe bad side was the bus was an hour late. We came early expecting to have more time in Sapa,
One hour does count.
Good side was the journey was so-so smooth,I notice the first two drivers sped up to catch the time, the last driver was the best, I was able to take videos arriving in Sapa beside at back of driver sitting by the stair, even with communication barrier we were able to communicate by actions or gestures, to take videos which best part in Sapa while riding the bus.

Litao CDriver whatsapped me before I boarded the bus and instruct me where to go. The 'seat' is very comfortable, you can lie all the way flat to sleep.

Tina OThe only downside is that the constant beeping of the pedestrian crossing signal is quite disturbing when trying to sleep

Jack BWe booked two "VIP cabins" with HK Buslines from Hanoi to Sapa under the impression that this would be the lie-down cabins. Once we booked, the departure time given to us was 45 minutes earlier than what was originally listed. When we arrived at the pick-up point, the person at the check-in desk was not helpful and gave no instruction which made us almost miss our bus. She did not say anything and just gave me a ticket which had the license plate on it of our bus. 45 minutes after the communicated departure time, a shuttle bus with a completely different license plate than on our ticket came. They did not invite us on board or anything and we only realized we were supposed to board this one because we went back in and asked the check-in counter, wondering what was going on. They took us to the HK bus depot and we finally boarded our bus with the appropriate license plate, which turned out to be a completely different set-up than expected. The bus driver was quite rude when we were boarding and tried to snatch the ticket out of our hands rudely. The journey itself was fine but communication needs to be vastly improved and it needs to be made clear what type of seats are actually being sold at time of purchase.
