Ho Chi Minh City to Phnom Penh Destination Reviews

I would give zero stars if I could! Do not travel with this company under any circumstances. The staff are extremely unfriendly and threaten you at the border if you don't give them more money than the advertised amount for a visa. When we suggested we apply for the visa on arrival ourselves (which would be cheaper), the man became abusive and insulting, saying they would simply leave us at the border. When we were scared because all our belongings were still in the van, he just laughed at us and insulted us. The reason given was that the other passengers had to wait, but our visa on arrival only took five minutes. Other passengers were still in the restroom when we reached the bus (so we were lucky, because other reviews on google mention passengers being left behind). The employee was not at all pleased that we had made it. By the way, the employee in the office had assured us that we could apply for our visa ourselves, so Meko Limo's responses to other people's reviews on google are simply lies! Furthermore, the van was far from VIP or luxurious; some seats didn't even have seatbelts. Some of the snacks given before departure were also expired. Better to take one of the larger buses.

Would recommend. The staff is super nice and we left punctually. The Visa on Arrival from HCMC to Phnom Pehn was super smooth because of the help from the drivers. My Massage chair was bit working but it still reclined. The Aircon is also working nicely.

Comfortable bus, great service, very nice/kind driver and hostess. However, there were two main issues with the operating office. My bus from Ho Chi Minh to Phnom Penh was scheduled for 15:45. I went two days ago to the VET office in Ho Chi Minh City to check the ticket and departure point to ensure everything was as planned. All was confirmed. On the day of travel, I arrived at the departure point at 15:00 (45 minutes early). The office staff were panicked and hurried, immediately telling me that my bus was on the main road and leaving now at 15:00; the time had changed! Excuse me? I was so lucky I arrived 45 min early, or I would have missed my bus for no reason! I RAN to the road and managed to board the bus at the last minute! It really departed after I got on. I was lucky, but this is actually a serious problem. The second issue is that I am a solo traveller; I specifically chose a bus with a single seat. I reserved seat 1A. When I arrived at the office, they also changed my seat to a two-seater in the last minute. These small (!) issues are annoying, but otherwise everything was great!

If was sadly a bad experience. Advertised Fre WIFI on the bus but no internet service Air con very poorly maintained and was too uncomfortable on the trip. Loading packages on the way to the destination that caused the vehicle to have extreme weight that resulted in a blow out in the way from the border on Cambodia. We were stranded in the middle of knowhere until they arranged another bus for two hours. Very bad experience and would not use this company again. Arrived in Phnom Phen 3 hours late.
