Il viaggio in traghetto è andato bene. Il viaggio nel bus grande fino a Suratthani è stato confortevole, ma il viaggio con il minibus fino a Khaosok è stato una specie di avventura...
Pensiamo che l'autista abbia visto la gara di Formula 1 il giorno prima e voglia essere come Max Verstappen. Per la maggior parte del tempo la velocità era superiore a 100 km all'ora e di tanto in tanto anche a 130. Max è a 90.
Siamo tutti sopravvissuti e siamo arrivati a destinazione prima del previsto...

The ferry trip was just fine. The ride in the big bus to Suratthani was comfortable but the ride with the minibus to Khaosok was a kind of adventure...
We think the driver has seen the Formula 1 race the day before and he wants to be like Max Verstappen. Most of the time speed was more than 100 km per hour and now and then even 130. Max is 90.
We all survived and were earlier than planned at our destination...

Il traghetto è arrivato in orario e il viaggio è stato tranquillo, come si sperava. I servizi igienici, tuttavia, erano disgustosi. Il bagno e il pavimento erano sporchi e l'acqua del lavandino scorreva nello scarico e finiva sui piedi.
Il primo van da Donsak a Surat Thani è stato scorrevole, efficiente e confortevole.

The ferry arrived on time and the journey was uneventful, as you would hope. The toilet facilities however were disgusting. The toilet and the floor were filthy and the water from the sink flowed down the drain and onto your feet.
The first van from Donsak to Surat Thani was smooth, efficient and comfortable.
The second van from Surat Thani to Khao Sok was horrendous. The driver was clearly falling asleep half an hour into the journey. His driving was erratic and dangerous. We ended up having to stop for him to fuel up on coffee, so that he could complete the journey. This resulted in us being an hour late arriving at our destination. The bus was extremely rickety and not well maintained. The engine warning light was on for the duration of the journey and the van itself was very messy and uncomfortable. We couldn’t have been more relieved to arrive at our destination safely!

Nessuno ha saputo dirci come si arriva dal traghetto all'autobus a Surathani. Prendono soldi da altri per il posto per i bagagli extra ma non li usano. Il furgone era così pieno che non ci si poteva sedere normalmente sul proprio sedile.

No one could tell us, how we come from ferry to bus in surathani. They take money from others for place for Extra luggage but don't used it. Van was so full that you can't sit normal on your seat.

Abbiamo dovuto cambiare veicolo tre volte e siamo dovuti rimanere a Surat Thani inaspettatamente per circa mezz'ora. L'autista ha anche fatto diverse soste personali durante il tragitto. We had to change vehicle three times and had to stay in Surat Thani unexpectedly for about half an our. The driver also made several personal stops on the way. But because it was a quite speedy journey we arrived on time either way and the vans are a comfortable option.

Everything allinged. But you did have to wait quite long at certain points. This caused us to arrive a hour later than planned. Also the boat was very old and pretty unhygienic. But it got the job done and that’s the most important thing.

The trip in fact went pretty smooth, connections were about 15 minutes waiting. But it was stressful that nobody could tell with clear directions where to go, wait or look for. You just go with the flow and try to not miss a bus.
