1) Approximately after 6.5 hours of ride in the bus, I was sleeping, in a big rush we had to take another bus, I didn’t know that there was 2 bus to go to Sapa from Ninh Binh, the best way to forget stuff in the bus 2) I was in a big rush because the bus left 1/2h before the original time, but big thanks for calling and emailing me. 3) The bus didn't arrive at the expected location, so I had to walk longer to my hotel with my big backpack.

The bus started early than expected (15 minutes), so we could not able to change our clothes and to use the restroom before the pick-up. Also, the arrival was 1 hour late. The funny and unexpected thing was that the luggage compartment was filled with hundreds of little ducks. Pretty wired.

There is absolutely no reason to drive that fast when people are trying to sleep and we are going to arrive ahead of schedule. I was thrown from side to side in my top bunk bed and almost fell out.

We took cabin 33 (VIP) from Ninh Binh to Sapa, and the bus experience was a 10/10. We arrived almost 30 min earlier than indicated, the beds were really comfortable even for tall people (I’m 180cm and could stretch all the way). Of course the bus made random stops to load cargo and the drivers didn’t speak English but honestly that’s part of the experience and to be expected. Only downside is my backpack apparently got drained in fish water in the luggage compartment. It smelled really bad but I guess that’s just bad luck so I will still give the whole experience 5/5 stars.
