Hue to Hoi An Destination Reviews

MS
Unfortunately, the bus was delayed, but the ride overall was quite comfortable. The air conditioning was too cold for me personally.

The word VIP should not appear in the booking. Bus looked horrible, not even close to the picture. The operator barely spoke English, we waited there 30 minutes then a very small car took everyone to the bus, without space for our luggage so we were pressed in that car.

Bus departed 30mins behind schedule, seal on door was broken and we stopped twice to try and fix it, arrived more than an hour late. Seats on the bus were broken, seatbelts didn't work, no water was supplied (only time I've ever taken a sleeper bus in Vietnam and not been given water).

I had two operators for that trip : - one from Hue to Da Nang - one from Da Nang to Hoi An The second driver was perfect, no complains. The first driver was beyond reckless and overall dangerous, he drove like a mad man. I don't know if he was on a tight schedule, but I don't mind arriving a bit late if I feel safe on the road... And I arrived 30min early to my destination, so there was no need for such behavior and such speed. Overall, because I don't want to penalize the second driver who did a great job, I'll rate this experience as average.... But if it were only for the first driver, I would put it in "bad".

6h ride with just one break and no toilet on board is a poor way to travel; the seats are very small for European body sizes - to narrow and to short

The coach only had bed seats, which were very uncomfortable because I couldn't sit down. Why would a day trip of 3 and a half hours should be organised in a bed seat coach? This doesn't make much sense, as we weren't meant to sleep on that vehicle. AC didn't fully work, which was an issue due to the high temperature and the material of the seats. Same goes for the WiFi, which did not work. Instructions were not provided regarding taking off shoes and putting them in plastic bags. Also, despite the 'no food' sign, people were eating constantly, resulting in a nauseating smell. Moreover, we departed late because we were transferred from the designated departure place to a different one, using a different bus, which we weren't informed of. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience - there is plenty of room for improvement.
