Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh City Destination Reviews

AM
Bus was very cramped with limited room, although it was quite long in the legs but still hard to use the legroom as your bags had to go there. usb ports only worked for half the trip with was annoying. i had the middle seat which always sucks but the curtains were gross and stained and the toilet on the bus reeked of urine so i recommend sitting towards the front if you can. bus was late to depart but arrived around the time stated. compared to other buses i’ve had better but staff were relatively friendly and it was a cheaper alternative to flying. 🙂

People were smoking inside the bus and since they were local no one stopped them. My first experience in facing issues like this. The bus didn't take us to the actual stop point given in the ticket but quite far from it. They said a mini van would take us but it was so small. Only a few local people got on it and they used it mainly for carrying parcels. We had to again book a cab on our own.

The bus was late leaving Hoi An. Also, we weren't given a seat number - this meant we were given undesirable seats for an 18 hour journey.

I understand there is a language barrier but I think there could have been more communication between the bus staff and me. I don't think it would have been that hard. You guys send out a massive letter about what's going to happen and I didn't understand half of it. When the bus arrived at Ho Chi Minh,it was in the back of some parking lot. And I'm standing there not knowing what to do. I don't think it would have been that hard to send an email or a WhatsApp message to everybody that was on your itinerary. That a van is coming to collect you please wait. Also why don't you find out from the people where they are staying because I could have got off that bus a lot sooner and been to my accommodations a lot sooner than having to go to that bus yard wait a long time and then have to drive even farther away from where I'm staying.

The taxi driver from the company for the bus was great, the bus ride itself wasn't too bad but they took off driving before we got in our beds so my sister fell over and hurt her back. The staff member wasn't very sympathetic about the situation and stood there doing nothing. Once we arrived they put our luggage into a smelly muddy puddle at a station which made our bags stink and soaked into some of our clothes forcing us to clean our clothes prematurely! The bed itself wasn't too bad but we paid the same price for a better bus on another trip in Vietnam. The bus got us to our destination early which is a redeeming factor but some customer service could definitely be better!

Overall experience was okay, driver seem to be driving a little too fast so it felt uncomfortable at times. Wifi on board worked okay

Not great! Travelled an 18 hour journey from Hoi an to Ho Chi Minh with only one stop to stretch legs and get food/drink despite stopping over 30 times to pick up parcels. The driver was talking on a video call and also watching TV while driving. We was dropped off at a different bus station than what was on the ticket, luckily it was the same distance and cost in a grab taxi to our hotel. The WiFi was excellent.

Great bus! We did get picked up around 4:00 instead of 3:45 but she told us to expect that when we checked in. The bus was comfy. It took them a while to stop for dinner but they did stop. Great friendly driver. No complaints. Comfy beds.
