Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat Destination Reviews

Terri B
We took the 24 bed limousine from HCMC to DaLat. After booking, we read the reviews so our expectations were quite low. This was our first night bus In Vietnam and we were pleasantly surprised. The beds and blankets were clean enough, they provide a small bottle of water and waffle, and the bus was quiet. We didn’t get much sleep due to the winding roads but this was to no fault of the driver. There were 2 rest stops for snacks/loo which was good for the 6hr journey. The only downfall was that we arrived 2 hours early. Normally this would be a good thing but arriving at 4:30am wasn’t ideal so just something to be aware of.

Rude driver in a rush to kick everyone of and tried to leave with our bags still on the coach. Bad and erratic driving to go with it. Very poor.

The counter staff was helpful, but the boarding staff didn’t guide us the right way (probably lack of English?). 5 minutes after departure time we were still there waiting. Good that I went back to the counter staff, who then directed us to the bus, which was waiting for us! The ride was good, we arrived on time if not early. The seat was small, enough for a 5’ 2” like me but maybe not for those who are bigger.

Really bumpy but got there at least an hour and a half before the time scheduled. The driver didn’t tell us we were at the last stop so he was pretty rude rushing us off the bus and we had no idea. I think the pillow could have been more comfortable, the aircon was constantly on so it was freezing, even with the blanket and it doesn’t fit 2 people unless you don’t mind spooning. It’s not clear on 12Go how to book, we wanted one double for 2 people but it wasn’t clear so we ended up paying double the price and had 2 double cabins when we wanted to share 1.

The sleeper bus was very spacious and comfortable. The operators also contacted us and picked us up from where we were (locals tried to bring us to all sorts of different places). Overall was a good experience with them with good customer service!

Bus from Saigon to Da Lat. was scheduled to take 7 hours but took 8 - however since all other buses were 8 hours we were expecting this. Free shuttle to your hotel on arrival from the bus company - excellent service to offer. Sleeper bus had slim seats, would book with caution if you have a significantly wider build compared to Vietnamese people. Regular stops every 2 hours for toilet and food. Water provided. Would book again.

We got held up in traffic due to broken down car , still arrived at the bus station at 8.55 am to find the bus had gone. There was a second bus that took us to the sleeper bus but we had to pay 320 Vietnamese Dong .
