What are the Taxi Classes & Prices of Sima Car?
Sima Car uses different vehicles as taxis. Depending on the number of people in your group and your requirements to comfort levels you can choose the class of the vehicle which suits your best. A useful piece of advice – check the rates of a higher class vehicle even if you are comfortable to go with standard class. For example, sometimes operators offer huge discounts on vans, and a van taxi may cost you the same or almost the same as a standard class car but it is definitely more comfortable to travel by van as it has more legroom and luggage space.

- Travelling by taxi gives you flexibility in terms of the departure time, route, and stops along the way. The only thing to remember is to inform your taxi operator of your requirements in advance so they can calculate the right fare for you. Otherwise, the final bill can be higher than expected
- Taxi is the best means of transport which allows you to keep social distancing during the pandemic.
- Taxi may be the only means of transport available to bring you to some destinations where there is no train, bus, or van connection, not to speak about planes.
Cons of Taxi Travel
- Taking a taxi can be costly compared to van or bus travel. Well, but private service does come at a price, so no surprise here
- You may have to pay extra for any unexpected deviation from the route or waiting time if it occurs. Do discuss your every request in advance and make sure it is included into the calculation of your fare.
- If you speak the same language, some taxi drivers can be annoyingly talkative.
- For nervous passengers who follow the trip on Google Maps it can be quite disturbing if your taxi driver chooses to take a weird route, a shortcut, or just to make a detour to avoid traffic jams or a bad road.

He drove very carefully. The car was very comfortable and had water available. I asked to receive advance notice and the driver called me an hour before, which was very helpful so I wouldn't miss my departure time. He arrived on time and helped me with my luggage. It was a great choice. I highly recommend it.

Evie CWhen we arrived there was no cars available and they couldn’t find our booking, it was in the period of Khmer new year so we understood and waited however there was a lot of waiting around to locate drivers as we had to change car and drivers twice on our journey. One of the cars also had lots of flies and there was even a cockroach in the car.

This time, the driver did arrive in an SUV, unlike the other driver last time. We found it, however, completely unacceptable that almost a third of the boot was occupied by the driver’s luggage, making it impossible for us to fit all of ours in there. Consequently, we had no choice but to stow some of our luggage between our legs and on our laps, despite the fact that we had specifically booked for four suitcases.
Additionally, we expected the driver to focus on the road rather than being distracted by his two mobile phones throughout the drive.

Josefin HWe specifically ordered an SUV, clearly stating that we would be traveling with four suitcases and additional hand luggage. Unfortunately, we were disappointed when the driver arrived in a BYD (either Seal or Destroyer) with a surprisingly small boot.
To avoid delaying our departure, we had no choice but to stow some of our luggage between our legs and on our laps. This resulted in zero legroom, making our journey anything but relaxed. It’s essential for companies to match their vehicles to customer needs, especially when luggage is a significant factor.

Ben VCar was great and the drive was fine. But driver was 25 minutes too late. We needed to catch a boat so we were nervous the whole ride. Driver decided to take "a break" halfway through. He didn't understand English so we couldn't communicate. Luckily we arrived on time because we calculated more than an hour extra when we booked.

Becky JThis was a seamless transaction - great communication. Our ferry was late but we were able to let the driver and company know and the driver waited for us with photos of where he was at the terminal. He was also a great driver and we felt very safe. Of course this was the more expensive option for travel but it makes a difference when you have a long drive - amazing car which even had massaging chairs. We are booking again for our drive to Siem Reap.
