Sanur to Nusa Penida Destination Reviews

DF
I tried to check in about 1.5hrs before departure unit they kept me waiting for half an hour without explanation: “please wait, please wait”. It turns out I have been bumped and booked into another operator (Axestone) without any consultation. I had booked Maruti because of its reputation and relatively larger boat size, so being bumped without any explanation was irksome to say the least.

We had taken the time to review a lot of companies and different fastboat and finally chosen to reserve one with air conditioning with Maruti. When we arrived at Maruti office, they put us on another boat (smaller?) from another company (Waruna Darma) with no AC and we were all cramped up and sweating. The boat was also late... In the end, we were able to go to Nusa Penida, but that's not what we had paid for. Bad experience. Oh, and by the way, the Maruti boat left in time, but sadly we were not on-board...! 🙄

The details ticket purchased were not clear and I had to walk around the city to find the place to get a PRINTED boarding pass (why this step even exist in the first place if I already have a proof of purchase QR code to show at the boarding?!). Once at the location, guy at the desk tells me it's too late to board. So I leave and find a different company to buy another ticket from. Only to find out at the time of boarding with the new company, that Angel Billabong is STILL NOT BORDED. In other words, I would have gotten plenty of time to get the boarding pass and show up on time... Obviously, 12GO is NOT helping and will only reply you with pre-made customer support non-sense. No refund allowed, even if the service was NOT provided before of their poor system and communication.

Port was organised and far less chaotic than other ports I have used. With air conditioning and a balcony. Then the boat staff were courteous, and the boat had fans. Good experience.
