While Puerto Princesa and El Nido both attract tourists, they cater to different interests. Puerto Princesa serves as the gateway to Palawan and is known for the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park. Puerto Princesa to El Nido Destination Reviews

WK
Me and my partner were put in the back of the van, essentially the boot with two small seats, no leg room and everyone else's bags next to us squashing us in. Only way out was the boot, so every stop bags had to be removed so we could get out.air con didn't quite reach us. Was a very rough journey and we were thrown around quite a bit as we were over the wheel arch. Also was not clear if it was the right van, the driver didn't know who I was, so I had to go searching for someone who did, eventually after walking back and forth with baggage between people in the mid day sun, we were told it was the correct van. Didn't leave puerto until around 4pm due to picking up of packages and of locals.

We saw the eulen joy pass by us twice without stopping as we waited at the pick up point. We had to get a ride from another van after a lot of confusion and after an hour of waiting.

Left 1h30 late, drove really badly, too fast and dangerously, no security in the van, did a 30min break without telling us anything and just told us he was eating when asked about how this would work.. scary experience..

Okay, probably better than the regular buses. But the Vip-bus clear needs maintenance. My chair couldn't return to the upright position, the airco was missing parts so it blew very hard in my face all journey and the toilet couldn't be locked anymore. Pity, because it could have been so much better with a little effort

By the time the bus driver picked up everyone, it’s almost 12pm before we start the journey to El Nido and the scheduled departure time is meant to be 10am. And by the time we arrived at El Nido, It’s almost 5pm and the driver told us that the van is not allowed to drive into the town so we need to take tuk tuk in. Having said this, the driver was great, safe and responsible. I think it’s the company who made those exec decision to make the experience poor.

The journey took 7hrs instead of 5hrs (got picked up at 9:00am and arrived at 4pm) as the driver spent the first two hours driving round puerto princesa dropping off/picking up various people. It was also super cramped and seemed overbooked.
