Puerto Princesa to El Nido Destination Reviews

Left on time but spent the next hour and a half going around the area picking up people to full up every seat in the van. Made me pay 500php extra for my suitcase when my whole ticket was 800php. Then they sold tickets for 200php to people so no coherence. Stopped 3 times for food on the way and didnt get dropped off at my hotel.

Absolutely terrible. Hello, The situation is that 12Go is going to get into legal trouble continuing to contract with this company Fortwally something. Truly a bunch of scammers and completely unprofessional. I arrived early to Puerto Princesa, and met up these guys who said I could go an hour early on the same ticket. I agreed. Six people boarded the bus, and I thought we were headed to our destination. Instead, we pull into a gas station to get payment. A different man in charge tried to scam me into paying 1000 Php since I got an earlier trip. I informed him that I already paid through 12go, and that his assistant told me I could use the same ticket. He eventually agreed. Another group of three showed up, and now we are a group of nine in an 8 person van. That’s fine, because we still had a decent amount of room. The driver insisted that all the white foreigners sit in the most uncomfortable seats in the back. Him and his associates then crammed our bags in the back, and aggressively slammed our baggage/property about 7-8 times until we all heard a variety of crunching noises. He then proceeded to drive like a madman set on being reincarnated as a decent person. He was passing motos and vehicles on blind turns racing like his life depended on it. We all accepted it, because we just wanted to reach our destination. On the brutal and treacherous journey he then proceeded to use his company’s vehicle as his own public bus, and we picked up and dropped off about a dozen different people on our journey. It was the most dangerous, reckless, and uncomfortable ride of our lives. At one point we had 15 people people crammed together in a 40 yr old van with damaged rear shocks. All the white foreigners in the back were the only ones crammed together with half our luggage in our laps for most of the trip. The Phillipino Americans were all completely comfortable and had their own space in the front two rows oblivious to what was going on behind them. I had been up and without sleep for 24 hrs at this point, and needless to say I was beyond aggravated. I confronted him at the end of the trip that his company had entered into an agreement with 12go, and nothing in the details say he can use this trip as an opportunity to become a Palawan bus at our discomfort and expense. I’m planning on filling a police report in El Nido about deceptive advertising partially involving your endorsement of their services. I am looking into finding an attorney here to follow up in the future for damages. Him and his associates caused roughly 600 dollars of damages to my property alone, and that doesn’t even count the other riders whose luggage was also crushed. I am in contact with these people as well, and I have three of them who will agree to give a statement of the damages and accuracy of my claim. I sincerely hope you take serious action, and relieve my serious concerns about a company you endorse through your website and app. Sincerely, Kevin

We booked a van from Puerto Princesa to El Nido for 5:30 PM and arrived at the office right on time. Even though we boarded the vehicle promptly, the departure was massively delayed. The van was stopped several times to be loaded with construction materials, chemicals, and even an air conditioning unit and a washing machine. Instead of the scheduled time, we finally left with a 2,5-hour delay and arrived in El Nido at 01:00 AM, completely exhausted. It is absolutely unacceptable to keep paying passengers waiting just to misuse the van as a logistics vehicle.

We were picked up 1 hour late. We drove around Puerto Princesa for 2.5 hours. We were supposed to be picked up at 9 am but it wasn't until 12.30 pm. where we were 1.5 hours away. he picked up 2 even though we only had one free seat. the seat was a small narrow seat next to me. so we sat 4 on 3 seats.

Here’s a short, clear negative review in English: Very disappointing experience. The pickup instructions were incorrect – the meeting point was not in the airport as stated, but outside, making it hard to find. Despite arriving on time, we were wrongly accused of being late. The communication was confusing and contradictory, and the whole process was poorly organized. Would not recommend.

Plus: van left 30min before schedule Plus: i made it alive to El Nido, stops were allright (2x 5min, 1x 30min) Min: we were picking up local people, i was sitting at the back and there are 3 seats, but we had to sit with 4 for 3 hours which was really the most uncomfortable ever, it really hurt my back. So thats the 2 star Min: duration was 6,5 hours with stops (17:00-23:30) i am fine but don’t think you can make it in 5h (so don’t advertise with it) Min: temp went from okay to freezing (bring something) Sitting at the back with 4 was most unpleasant ever, rest was ok. Probably all vans are the same

Bumpy ride. And imo bad driving style with a lot of unnecessary breaking and accelerating.

Amazing trip! Comfy seats, A/C, driver skills. I would always choose this before a Van. We arrived 20 before. The break was well timed!

Very happy that they could pick us up from the hotel, but it felt like it was a livestock transport of tourists combined with a pick up point for locals..

Does Puerto Princesa get more tourists than El Nido?

While Puerto Princesa and El Nido both attract tourists, they cater to different interests. Puerto Princesa serves as the gateway to Palawan and is known for the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park.
