Marko SWe booked a 14h trip scheduled from 8:30 PM to 10:30 AM. However, at 6:10 PM, we received a sudden message demanding we arrive at a pickup location in 50 minutes for a "shuttle service" never mentioned during booking. We rushed our plans, waited 30 minutes at the location for "shuttle" service to appear, and were put into a Grab car that drove us 55 minutes northwest (towards the Laos border) in the pouring rain. Once there, we had to stop drivers ourselves just to figure out which bus was ours.
The only positive aspect of the entire journey was that the buses were reasonably comfortable. However, this is the bare minimum to be expected, considering this ticket cost about 500k VND (or 50%) more than competitor options.
Once the bus actually departed at 8:30 PM, we felt more like postmen than passengers. The drivers made 10+ stops at random houses and shops to leisurely load and drop off packages. At one point, I checked the map and saw we went from being 620km away from Da Nang to 650km away because they drove backward just to pick up more cargo. Meanwhile, we were aggressively rushed during our only two toilet breaks (one at 1:00 AM and one at 10:30 AM in Hue (this one we had to request ourselves since us, passengers couldn't hold it in anymore)). We were also abruptly woken up at 6:00 AM and forced to switch buses, another detail omitted during booking. We finally arrived in Da Nang at 1:30 PM - over 3 hours late - and were dumped immediately after the bridge, 1-2km away from the agreed drop-off location. Because of the initial forced shuttle and the constant cargo stops, our 14h trip turned into an exhausting 18.5h ordeal

Holly TOverall pretty good trip, only thing was when booking online I didn't realize I booked 3 top bunks so one of my friends was not in the same room, I think this should be made more clear when booking.

Way DI saw some mixed reviews but our experience was quite good. Everything went smoothly and we were able to board without problems. The cabin was comfortable and we were provided with some drinks and snacks. The views were also wonderful.

David MService to get to the coach was good. Everything was done properly and on time.
The issue started with the cabin, which was filthy. We had to use wipes to clean the dirty footprints off the floor. The compartment above the door for bags, was also dirty. After about half an hour of cleaning we felt able to put our bags away.
There was a lamp and a fake plant on the table which were so dirty, we had to put them on the floor. Yes, the carriages are old and a bit noisy, but this is not a problems. We've travelled on trains in Africa. Cleaning is a basic function that was just not done and looked like it had not been done for some time. I cannot recommend this train service, especially for the €500 it cost.
Toilets and wash basins were clean.
Beds were simply too hard and uncomfortable.
We will have to do the return journey as we have booked it, but we won't use this service again. Far too dirty.

Jack EAfter choosing to travel on the sleeper bus from Hanoi to Da Nang, i decided to choose HK Buslines as i thought it would be the best
After messaging the company in the morning asking if we had a toilet on the bus, they replied with no, but promising two stops for toilets.
This was not the case, we didn’t stop once, except for when the driver wanted a cigarette, which he was the only person who was let out, this is totally unfair as we could not eat on the bus. We stopped at a petrol station which had food and toilets. The actual bus is lovely, comfy, and quiet. Not much point of the tv though as didn’t have anything on it, my partner didn’t even have a remote.

Gerald MThe overall experience was great - USB port & entertainment system didn’t work in my cabin but made zero difference to my trip. Make sure you pack a portable charging bank. Long trip from Hanoi to Da Nang tok around 13 hours. No trouble sleeping and I could stretch right out - cabin is 1.75m in length. The pick up point was chaotic but somehow the system just works - just be patient & they will call your name when your bus arrives. The bus licence plate is printed on your ticket & is also printed on the side of the bus at the rear making it easy to identify. My bus had an on-board toilet for convenience. Overall a great & fun experience.
