There was nothing VIP or luxury about it. I wanted a row of 2 beds. This had 3 and we barely fit. The pillow and blanket was dirty. But worst of all was the stop in between. I've never seen open bathrooms where the men and women can see each other. Puddles of pee everywhere. The stench was insane. Rats everywhere. Never again!

We had a child with us and we were disappointed initially as we got top berths for both the seats. However after Ninh Bing station lower berths got free and the staff informed us that we can use the lower berths now, which made the journey quite comfortable.

Horrible. We will never come back. They didn’t understand a word of English, we found the place by sheer luck because the directions they gave us were minimal, the place was unbearably cold even after turning off the air conditioning, our suitcases arrived covered in dust, the blankets were dirty — honestly, it was shameful.
