The bus arrived two and a half hours late. The driver was rude when I asked him to stop for a bathroom break, and he refused. He was also smoking the entire time on the bus. My luggage arrived soaking wet, absolutely soaked

We booked a trip before, I got sick and we asked if we could get a refund. They told us by wpp (in the first booking) we needed to go to the pick up point regardless of 12go ask where was our hotel. The trip itself was a bit rude by the staff, they were screaming and hurrying us up: I couldn’t move so it was hard and I was slow trying to fit in my seat. The guy didnt care a shit, and hurry me up for making us wait 30 minutes in the bus. Not a happy experience. We got on time, yes, even earlier. But wouldn’t use this company again.

The flight departed an hour and a half late. We were well informed about the delay. The flight itself was comfortable, and the staff was friendly.

The communication with the people driving the buses is TERRIBLE, they expect us to understand to sounds and angry movements and the vehicles are not what is showed in pictures. Even the bed bus was not the one in the picture, it was actually older and even the person who “helped” me throughout the journey, who said they would have toilet stops and let us know, they never did. I would NOT recommend to book this.

Is Hanoi a car-friendly city?

Navigating Hanoi by car can be challenging due to heavy traffic, narrow streets, and limited parking. Traffic congestion is common, especially during peak hours. Many locals prefer using scooters or public transportation, such as buses or the newly developed metro system, which is expanding.

Taxis and ride-hailing services like Grab are widely available and affordable, with fares typically around 15,000 VND per kilometer ($0.60). For those who choose to drive, renting a car with a driver is recommended to avoid the complexities of the local traffic system. Parking can be difficult to find and may be expensive in central areas. If you do drive, be aware that traffic rules are not always strictly followed, requiring extra caution.

How do you dress in Hanoi?

Dress modestly and comfortably, considering both the weather and cultural norms. Hanoi experiences a humid subtropical climate, with hot summers and cooler winters. Light, breathable clothing is advisable in summer, while a jacket or sweater is needed during winter months (December to February). When visiting temples or pagodas, cover shoulders and knees out of respect. Casual attire is suitable for most places, but upscale restaurants and events may require more formal clothing. Rain can be frequent, especially from May to September, so pack a raincoat or umbrella. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended for exploring the city.

Are taxis easy in Hanoi?

Taxis are widely available and convenient in Hanoi. Major taxi companies such as Mai Linh and Vinasun are recommended for their reliability. Fares typically start at around 10,000 VND ($0.40) for the first kilometer, with additional kilometers costing approximately 13,000 VND ($0.55). Ensure the meter is used to avoid overcharging.

Ride-hailing apps like Grab are also popular and can offer more predictable pricing. Traffic can be dense, especially during peak hours, so plan extra travel time. Cash is commonly used, though some taxi services accept credit cards.
