trains good, community car excellent, scenic and on time, though seats not very comfortable (mine was broken). also disappointed in 12go seat allocation - i was not given a choice of seats during booking process.

Train 90 minutes late, delayed another hour on route. Seats are small and uncomfortable and it was very hot even with air conditioning. For a trip that lonely planet say is one of the best 10 rail journeys in the world we found it very disappointing. We were happy to get off the train and if we come back to vietnam we will either book cabins or take the bus.

The train was 75 min late, we couldn't see the landscape because most of the passengers kept their curtains closed. The windows were so dirty, you hardly could see outside anyway. Our expectations about this train were probably too high.

Train was fine, a bit dirty, 25 mins late and not loads of storage space if busy but will get the job done

Cramped, nowhere to store suitcases, as VNR only has limited (high) overhead shelf that doesn't cover the whole carriage. We put our suitcases in front of the handwash basin, got barked by VNR staff to move it.
