Katherine Lovely train journey. Wait in the air conditioned waiting room (furthest on the left, up a few stairs) then show your e-ticket to get on the train. Good views (best on the left). Opportunity to get off and stretch legs for 10 mins halfway through.

Nia RTrain was cancelled mid way through journey so we didn’t get to see the Hi Van Pass and won’t have time to see it now. We were waiting for a long time before gaining any clarity on what was happening and told conflicting information several times.
However, they did sort moving us onto a rail replacement bus which was also comfortable.
