The compartment we were assigned was actually a 4 berth cabin (with the top two berths not pulled down). The compartment was not the designated 2 berth VIP we had paid for.

This app is a life-saver and made our trip very convenient especially in a non-English speaking country. Thank you! Highly recommended and will use again soon.

No cleaning or garage disposal during the trip. The toilet and the place where you wash your hands were extremely dirty towards the end of the trip. I was in a 6 beds cabin, upper berth. Throughout the journey I had to eighter lie down on my bed or simply stand up in the isle, as there was no possibility to sit down anywhere. After 17 hours of traveling, my body was pretty upset.

Trains are great! We got on, slept for half the journey then watched the world go by for the rest of it. Food easy to access (altho the QR code didn’t work) and staff moved us to a different compartment when the AC broke down.

Could not book direct with train operators as could not see the specific seats on the train using my phone. As such inhad to use 12Go who subsequently charged me 25% extra. Next time I will try to attend the train station to book direct.

Tuan is the most amazing driver I have ever met. He is a phenomenal man who has helped me so much I have nothing but gratitude and respect for him. The drive was incredibly comfortable and made even better by the driver. He spoke great English and provided snacks and drinks. Best taxi journey of my life would recommend 1000/10

and if you’ve never taken a train in Vietnam before, the entire process can be extremely confusing—from booking to actually traveling. When I booked, I didn’t fully understand the seating and cabin setup. I selected what was labeled as a first-class sleeper, but it ended up being a four-berth cabin, which felt more like a lower-class sleeper. There was no option to choose specific beds, and we were assigned the top bunks. With extra luggage and very limited storage space, I had no choice but to sleep with my luggage at my feet. The bed itself was already hard and uncomfortable, and this made it worse. There’s also no real dining area. You eat in your cabin, whether you want to or not, which I didn’t realize beforehand. Staff walk through the cabins opening doors to sell food, even if you’re sleeping. Communication was another major issue—the staff spoke no English, so it was stressful not knowing when our stop was coming up. You really have to pay close attention to station announcements and timing on your own. If I were to do this again, I would only book a four-berth sleeper for private use so the entire cabin is yours. Otherwise, it’s not a comfortable experience, especially with luggage. If you do decide to book, pack light and be prepared for very limited guidance and comfort. Overall, it’s functional transportation, but far from user-friendly for first-time or international travelers.
