The hotel pickup was on time. We even got to catch an earlier ferry than we were scheduled. But after reaching Don Sak pier, we had to sit on the streets for half an hour at the place where Phantip buses are supposed to pick as up. No signage if we were waiting at the right place. Overall, all good.

We used Surat Thani station from our hotel in Samui. The hotel pickup was just on time! However, it took some time to pick up other guests. Ferry was already checked in. After arriving at Dong Sak port, there were two large buses waiting for us and we had to ask which one we were going to take. ("Airport. Airport!")! Airport! (I was worried that it was not this one, because there was an obachan shouting "Airport! I was worried, but it seemed to be sent from the station to the airport in that order. (Obachan, say "station!" too!). (Say "station!" too!). I had a few questions and concerns, but it is an amazing time when you can buy a joint ticket from the hotel to the train station without going to a travel agency, just by clicking on the Internet.

This was a well organised journey from start to finish, with friendly staff who gave clear, polite instructions. No messing around and a direct route. Very happy.
It was a very different experience rom the firm we used going in the opposite direction!

Pick up at hotel, all tickets printed for ferry and bus transfers. Personal speak English and always ready to help. The mini van are a bit old sometimes but comfortable. Very easy to travel!
