train #40 2nd Class AC seats only, Thai Railways, Oct 6, 2020
The train was over an hour late arriving in Bangkok but otherwise everything was perfect.
JA
train #86 2nd Class Sleeper AC, Thai Railways, Sep 3, 2020
Everything was well organised. A smooth transfer from the ferry to the bus, to a taxi to the agency and eventually to the train. The train left on time and was only delayed for one hour.

Many high hidden fees. Over priced. Don’t use this service. Just buy your own tickets at the station.

It was old but still decent wagon. From the photos I expected better quality.

train #86 2nd Class Sleeper AC, Thai Railways, Mar 4, 2020
Caught the same train last year and treated myself to 1st class which was disappointing, so travelled 2nd this time, again an old train 1996 and not that clean but left Surat Thani on time, I had a snorer above me which was really annoying, the train was 2 and a half hours late into Hua Lampong and nobody seemed to know why, It’s good value though and I would always catch an overnight train than fly internally in Thailand for the experience,

Always good service from 12GO. Give them a few days or more to get the tickets for the sleeper train coz the berths sell out quickly. We booked two weeks in advance and got 1st class!! Only buy the train meals if you’re starving they’re fine but it’s cheaper to bring a picnic. Have fun.

train #168 2nd Class Sleeper Fan, Thai Railways, Mar 2, 2020
Efficient service. Easy to pickup tickets. All went smoothly. We find it a little expensive for regular use, but the service is useful since the Thai Railways online system is so confusing. All the same, we ended up paying an extra 600 baht for a 1080 baht journey. Maybe a percentage booking charge could be fairer. However, we find the service efficient, which in Thailand means a lot.

The service was very easy to use - picked tickets up from the office near Hua Lamphong Station very quickly. Helpful staff, and provided us with what we wanted.

train #86 1st Class Sleeper, Thai Railways, Feb 24, 2020
Not bad. Older train (83 I believe). We booked 1st Class cabins for myself, my wife and two kids. We ended up with adjoining rooms which was nice. The cabins were COLD from the uncontrollable AC. Better than being too hot but we all froze. The train was hardly an "express". Stopped every 10 minutes it seemed. Bathrooms were pretty disgusting. Overall it was good though. Neat experience but perhaps it would be better to get a new train if you can. However,12GO Asia made this whole process very simple and easy. I enjoyed using their app and it made out trip to Thailand much simpler!

train #32 1st Class Sleeper, Thai Railways, Feb 20, 2020
Great ride in 1st class ac cabin, only downside was that we had to go to Surat Thani so early to pick up our tickets and train was scheduled to leave at midnight. Long wait but we managed to see city a bit while we were waiting.

train #32 2nd Class Sleeper AC, Thai Railways, Feb 18, 2020
The train was very new, which was a nice surprise, but was not as comfortable as the older trains. It was so cold on the train that we were freezing - the difference between the outside temperature and inside was almost 20 degrees! Plus - the train was delayed 2 and half hours. I would give 5 starts to 12Go company, the services are very professional. I would prefer the older train next time :) it was more comfy and not so cold and arrived on time :)

The aircon made us sick. They don't turn it to low when the night comes. Also no night lights come on, it's like you're sleeping in a factory.

FP
train #86 2nd Class Sleeper AC, Thai Railways, Jan 18, 2020
Beds on train are comfortable, air conditioning is available. Bring a jacket as it can get cold. The train is an older train, old bathrooms but train is decent enough. Food in the restaurant is expensive so rather eat before getting on the train. Our train arrived on time. Quick and easy booking with 12 go
