Lisbeth RWe chose to pay more for this bus to Hue and back because the comments seemed like the drivers drive quite safely, which was important for us. However, on the trip to Hue we had the scariest drive in Vietnam yet. We know that the driving here is a bit different to what we are use to. However in the two hours we took over I don’t know how many cars while not a single car was faster than us, which makes me quite sure we were too fast. We were really scared of accidents. Worst of all a coach didn’t let us pass, which then started a battle between our bus and the other one where we nearly crashed several times. The drive back from Hue felt way saver that was really nice. However, both times the bus picked us up earlier than what we booked. 10 minutes in the morning - no worries. But 35 minutes earlier (6:15 instead of 6:50) on the way back. So we couldn’t eat dinner as we had planned. Also the bus in the morning was really old and not at all like on the pictures.But that would really all still have been totally okay, had the drive been safe. But we were really scared.

Philip KI went by train and returned by bus. Train is a great experience and the ticketing and seat reservation worked perfectly. Return bus was late by a half hour and caused me a lot of anxiety but when it came the bus was new and VIP standard. the driver was safe and the drop off smooth. However there is a distinct lack of information at the pickup spot in Hue. there is no signage or dedicated bus stop so if the bus is late the passenger does not know what is happening.
