We were not taken to the neighbourhood of our accommodation as promised, but to the bus station in Ninh Binh. Once there, we were told to wait 30 minutes for a shuttle. Actually, they already wanted us to order a Grab instead. We said we would wait for the shuttle and went to eat something in the meantime. When we were back on time after 30 minutes, there was no shuttle - not even after 50 minutes. When asked via Whatsapp, it was said that a shuttle had arrived in the meantime, but since no one was there, it left again. They couldn't help us. Disappointed by the poor service!

Perfect was, that with the early departure at 8.30h we hadn't to change the bus for to go to the ferry and further on to Nihm Binh. Some backrests n the bus couldn't be fixed any more

Last Sleeper Bus Out Of Cat Ba. Limousine bus picked us up outside the hotel and brought us via speedboat to the mainland. Sleeper bus collected us from there and straight to Tam Coc

Pick up at the hotel in time, express ferry was old and very crowded. The bus was old, too. Seats always leaned back. Drivers had no idea of road work and stucked in traffic jam. Alternative route was possible but not taken. 1 hour delay at last. We had to go the last 600m by foot.
