Ayutthaya to Chiang Mai Destination Reviews

FT
If you want a traditional train, ride sleeper wagon experience, you’re in the best hands. If you want a comfortable trip without any noise, smell, other people close by, Large accommodation, comfortable mattresses, perfect breakfast, or any other convenience, you are at the wrong place. Thai railways is doing an awesome job, providing on time transport had a good rate in the huge country. All thumbs up for these great guys on the train and their friendliness, helpfulness, kindness, professional approach. The one to go Asia office does also an awesome job, you can actually store your luggage there, and in the train station, you can take a shower and a crap.

Everything went great from Ayutthaya to Chiang Mai! Plenty of room in the second class sleeper for me as a tall person (1m90) and the train was right on time. They keep the hallway lights on all night and the curtains don’t hide from it, so the bunk bed gets a lot of light through the night. Bring your night mask with you and ear plugs just in case even though it is pretty quiet in the train. Also, the mattress is clean and comfy so you can spend a good night over there. You have some room for your luggage next to your bed, even a hanging metal basket for the top bed.

Train is old and bunks not very long (place below is just for me with my 1.86m) ; but generally speaking travel was on time, well organised and "fun". At the end we did liked it (we are a family with 2 children). Good experience

Even though we had an 8-hour delay because there was an accident on the tracks ahead of us, the trip was fine by me. Everyone was friendly. Food and drinks were even provided (for free) due to the long delay. Disadvantage lights stay on and it is very cold in the train.

It is an incredible experience, this sanctuary really made the whole trip to Thailand worthwhile. Incredible environment, the elephants are seen to be happy and the people who work there take good care of them. They gave us food, water, coffee and tea, and everything was exceptional! Each one of the guides is constantly aware of all the tourists and they are more than willing to take photos and help you with whatever you need! SPECTACULAR ADVENTURE!
