Puerto Princesa to El Nido Destination Reviews

CA
The driver stopped on the side of the road and made us wait over two hours to pick up other passengers, even though everyone in the van clearly said we did not agree to wait. A trip that should have taken five hours ended up lasting eight, with no food stops at all (only bathroom stops). I tried to contact the tour company for help, but no one responded or provided any solution. Very poor organization and unacceptable service.

Bad service. There's nobody to guide you at the meeting point. The Van did not departure on time. The Van is small and overbooked. The aircon of the van was not working. The Van picked more people up during the trip. We arrived at the final destination one hour and a half later than the estimated time, the driver stopped every hour. Overall, I don't recommend this service, you can take a van in front of the airport without complications.

I do not recommend traveling in the vans. The positive aspect is that the company was flexible in allowing an earlier departure time and responds quickly via WhatsApp. However: The driver was driving recklessly. He was going very fast (over 100 km/h). He overtook on both the right and left at high speed. He changed lanes in the opposite direction. He passed very close to pedestrians and smaller vehicles. Furthermore, the vehicle is not designed to carry luggage, so several bags had to be carried by the passengers, taking up space. Talking to other people, they told us that: They even oversold seats, forcing two people to share one seat. Others witnessed the driver run over a person riding a motorcycle. After talking with people who traveled in vans from different companies, we concluded that the drivers, in general, are inconsiderate and reckless. If you have the option, avoid the long van journey. Otherwise, be prepared.

I booked a transfer expecting a direct and professional service, but what I got was essentially a community taxi service at my expense. Why you should avoid this company: • The "Local" Stops: We didn't drive from A to B. Instead, the driver constantly stopped to pick up locals on the side of the road. We spent half the journey dropping people off at markets and picking up new "passengers" along the way. • Massive Delays: Because the driver turned our private car into a shuttle for the whole neighborhood, we arrived hours later than scheduled. If you have a flight to catch or a meeting to attend, do not trust them. • Lack of Professionalism: When we complained about the delays and the extra passengers, the driver just ignored us and kept looking for more people to squeeze into the car. • Safety Concerns: The car became overcrowded and the driver was clearly more focused on making extra cash from locals than on getting his actual customers to their destination safely.

The driver was 1 hour and 20 minutes late, when I was calling the number provided they did not answer the phone once to help. The driver proceeded to make between 7-10 stops throughout the journey picking up various random people from the side of the street for extra cash and then dropping them where they asked. This added significant time to the journey and we ended up arriving over two hours late partially due to his cash side jobs. Everytime someone would be dropped off he would look for someone else to pick up so that the van was constantly completely full for no reason other then for them to earn extra money in the side. When I asked if he could take me an extra 2 minutes down the road this was not possible even though the driver has done it for locals all day, he would just swipe his hand and say not without even acknowledging me. By far the worst driving experience I have had throughout travelling the whole of Asia. They have no care about getting there in time and only care about earning extra money through side jobs by picking up locals and ripping them wherever they needed, not at stops even though this was jot possible for others in the coach. When I asked about dropping to my hotel he said they were not allowed due to the hotel, when I turned up at the hotels and asked they said it was completely fine and that they have bus and van services drop residents there all day. A complete lie from the driver, I would not recommend this provider of transport at all.

The ride was not very comfortable as everyone was packed in with lots of cases as well, but the driver was very helpful and he also didn’t waste any time. The best thing was that our flight was late and we thought we had lost the transport because we were almost 45 minutes late at the airport but our tickets were still honoured and we made it to El Nido as planned. Very grateful.

The van didn't show up. Messages and calls to the operator wasn't helpful. Finally we walked from the pick-up spot and found their office. I got a ride in another van. Finally and late to the destination. Fully charged and no excuses.

When we booked the trip, the email they sent us with the location of where we should get on the van indicated the airport. We went there and asked the locals where the van was, and it turned out to be outside the airport. The location wasn't accurate. They should look into that and change it because we were the last to arrive and almost missed the trip.
