I took this night train in the last car of the train, which had unnecessarily an air conditioner, because there was no cheaper option available. Although it was 1 pm in the morning, the guard showed me my bed made of two seats, which I find surprisingly comfortable. The train was a bit rocky but I could still sleep, at least some hours. Then in the morning the train got stuck in the flooding. When the guard announced what to do, he took his best English to also tell me (as the only foreigner). We had to leave the train and make our own way to any hotel in the area. The people were beautiful, they dealt with the situation so patiently and with humour. It was an unforgettable train ride.

Check in was quick, but driver was late showing up. We left about 30 minutes late. No problem for me, I take travel times to be estimates. Small VIP bus for 15 passengers was actually a VIP bus. Luxury seats, tv and sound system. Driver played good music during the ride and music videos showed on the tv screen. We stopped half way from Surat Thani to Hat Yai to get food and use toilet because there is no toilet on small ViP bus. We get to Hat Yai with no problems. Would book again and highly recommend using P Plus Express!
