Hsu KVery disappointing experience – missed my flight and felt misled
I booked a limousine bus transfer from Sapa to Hanoi Noi Bai Airport for my international flight. The ticket clearly stated an estimated arrival time of 11:00 AM, but the bus actually arrived at the airport at 12:00 PM – one full hour later than promised. Because of this delay, I unfortunately missed my flight and had to stay an extra night in Hanoi at my own expense.
Several things made the experience much worse:
• The driver insisted the bus was “on time” even though we were clearly running late, and refused to let me get off early when I realized I would miss my flight. They told me to take a Grab myself if I wanted to leave, which felt unfair after I had already paid for the transfer.
• Despite knowing I was a foreign passenger with an international flight, the driver dropped me at the domestic terminal instead of international, costing me more precious time.
• At Sapa station, the staff instructed me to load my own luggage underneath the bus and gave conflicting directions while standing by and watching, which was frustrating and felt unprofessional.
I chose this service because I trusted the stated arrival time and wanted a reliable transfer for my flight. Unfortunately, the significant delay, lack of flexibility, wrong drop-off point, and poor customer service turned what should have been a simple journey into a costly and stressful ordeal.
I hope the company can improve its scheduling accuracy, train staff to be more helpful (especially with international passengers), and show more understanding when delays put customers at risk of missing flights.

Manon KComfortable bus (with clean on board toilet) we left on time and even arrived ahead of schedule. We took the option to the Airport and a quick transferbus (short ride) was already waiting for us when the big bus arrived. There were even announcements in English about the rest break and arrival at the airport. Recieved a whatsapp in advance as a reminder so I could directly verify the location of the bus station. Best bus experience in Vietnam so far compared to other sleeper busses.

Verena RWhat should I say… I had to wait long to go to the bathroom and when the driver finally stopped, I decided to go and when I came back the bus was not there anymore, he left me on the bus stop and all my stuff were on the bus. The communication is real bad because nobody can talk English so it was totally unnecessary to tell him something when I finally found the bus in another stop where another driver drived me. It would be nice to know that the passengers can’t go to the bathroom, only the driver can.

Alma FThe bus was nice and they had wake up service for our stop. The toilet at the stop had a fee and we got dropped some km from the airport which brings down the score.

Angela LSecond time taking the overnight sleeper van, but this time out of Sapa. The bus stop was crowded at night and staff didn't have time to answer questions. The buses were delayed but somehow we were still able to make it to our destination early, with 2 rest stops in the middle. Rest stop is simple and very quiet but felt safe with other passengers getting off to use the bathroom. No payment required. When traveling to Hanoi Airport, please note that it is the first stop and they will make the announcement. The driver will come check to see if you're awake to get you off the bus, much appreciated. Don't miss the bus because it continues onward into Hanoi city center. Would recommend riding with HK Busline.

Michael WSecond sleeper bus I have tried. First one was a Kim Long and it was true to the name a little longer and more comfortable for a tall guy (194cm) I was able to lay diagonally in the seat and stretch out. Also had many air vents and USB chargers.
This bus was a KIA and much less comfortable. Less air vent, no USB chargers, the curtain rod was broken and the windows all had LED lighting that was obnoxiously bright for an over-night ride making it impossible to look out the window in the dark. Lucky every window has blinds so the personal cabin can still get nice and dark.
Overall a sleeper bus is great and very comfortable way to travel. HK bus line is also a good company that is helpful and provides pick/drop off services too and from the main bus stations. Tip for travellers is to ensure that you’re pick up is an actual HK employee/HK labelled van. I witnessed a pair of travellers assuming an unmarked taxi was free since they were being taken to HK bus depot and because of the language barrier this was an honest mistake but an avoidable one nonetheless.
