should have started at 9:15, but we started at 9:30. should have been no stop from nusa penida to sanur, but on the day we suddenly had a stop at nusa lembongan. what should have taken 30 minutes, turned out to be 2 hours. we arrived at 11:20 in sanur!!!! no apology or explanation from the crew. do NOT book.

The Angkal speed boat was alright for what it is a $15-20 AUD ride from Sanur to Nusa Penida. The boat was very hot and had a strong fuel smell before it got moving, which wasn’t the best. Sanur port was chaotic (as expected), and the Nusa Penida arrival point was just rough wooden planks. Don’t expect luxury, but for the price, the 30-minute trip wasn’t too bad. Gets the job done.
