Hilaire PIt was our first trip with the night train in Vietnam and we did appreciate the laman express, we were 2 and we took the cabin with 4 bed, it was only one more person with us . But be carrefull if you have a big luggage and if the cabin with 4 beds is full then it will be very difficult to find a place in the room. We could use the empty bed to put our luggage. The staff was very friendly and helpfull.

Manuela VWe booked the 22:30 bus and we got contacted by the company if we could make the 21:00 bus - due to this reschedule we had to change our plans and drive to another city, which was no problem to do so by the bus company. The bus was on time, clean and made several stops along the way. Upon arriving in Hue we got transferred to a van which drove us to our hotel.

Julie RIt would have been better down the end of the bus away from the horn blowing. The 8 hour trip probably only took 5 or 6 hours. We had to stop at around 4am to change bus. There was no toilet stop and no English spoken. Our driver just gestured me to an abandoned building to pee.. Ew. Our second bus driver very nicely dropped us at our hotel.
It was an experience but not one I will be repeating anytime soon.

Ronald ENot a crowded compartment with ample legroom. Plenty of food and drink options, and strict attendance checks. Platforms are clearly visible. So, it's a great mode of transport, even though it takes longer than the bus. It does feel safer.

We choose a 4berth sleeper cabin for a family of three and i cant fault the service.
Dont expect a hotel quality mattress and the best sleep of your life but if you want the excitement of sleeping on the train, travelling overnight and waking up somewhere new with great views on the way i would highly reccomend
Very clean cabins, clean toilets and wash basins.the staff in the station and on the train were very helpfull. We wasnt sure when it would be our stop but the cabin staff let you know 20minutes before and inform ylu the night before when to set an alarm

Luke HOur trip was far from perfect but Cat Ba Discovery (who we booked with but didn’t undertake our journey) have since been very helpful and reached out after I complained. I am happy with how they have resolved my issues. It is difficult to rate Cat Ba Discovery as they did not provide the service even though we booked with them via 12Go.
Duy Khanh Limousine however, were poor. They provided the service/bus journey which was extremely unsatisfactory. There were dirty cabins, it was overbooked, people sitting in the aisle, we were asked to move and not reimbursed for this, various stops to make deliveries, not dropped at the drop off point stipulated on the booking form etc etc. Avoid Duy Khanh Limousine.
