Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh Destination Reviews

Awful. Drivers and workers were rude. The coach was advertised as a normal single bed, to then get there for a 19 hour journey and I couldn’t even fit my shoulders in, I would say it was like a coffin but at least you can fit in one of them.

We were driven by a taxi from the office to the bus: the taxi was taking so long driving around the city. Arriving at the bus, the man organizing everything was rude and very loud. Information about stops not in English and we arrived not at the end stop the booking said and the man on the bus once again was rude and not that willing to help. The bus ride was ok all in all, nevertheless I would choose a bus with more space the next time.

First I went to Hanh Cafe and asked if it was my bus that was standing in front of the cafe and I was told no and sit and wait. When the bus was about to leave I asked again, and they said that it was my bus. When I went to put my suitcase in bagage room, he said there was no space and I had to take it up in the bus. When I took it up the driver kept yelling no. When I went up the stairs in the bus, the bus driver kept yelling at me in Vietnamese and pointing at my seat, while I was taking of my shoes as you should before entering. He kept yelling and pushing me in, eventhough there was a girl trying to get out, and there is no space for two people in the aisle at the same time, so he started just yelling in the whole bus. Really unpleasant experience, would not recommend at all.

In the morning of the sleeper they wanted to change the time, 3 hours before it was scheduled. After i begged they changed us to an hour before. Then they said they only have one place although we booked two. All the way they asked us to move into one cabin and squeeze. And also!!!! Our bags came out from the cabin soaking wet and smelled so bad like fish!!!! We had to put all our clothes and bags in the laundry. It was the worst experience i had in Vietnam. And I actually think we deserve a refund after this experience.

Generally the journey was good. There were some unexpected changes at the start and end of the journey, but didn't have to wait around too long. There's a toilet on the bus, but we made some additional stops too.

There was some complications about my seat resevation. I wanted a seat on the floor because I walk with a cane. And I also payed ekstra to get ekstra service. But they didnt reply when I text them. But the buss ride was great! Good drivers. Was glad to see they took sleeping brakes and switch on driving. And there were two longer breaks. Many only have one. (Hoi An-HCMC. 19 hours)

There were 5 men who sat in the aisle so you couldn’t go to the toilet without jumping and climbing over them. When I went the toilet they took my bed and layed in it. They layed there for 2 hours in the bed with all my stuff in it when I sat with my friend.

* Many stops for picking up some strangers (sitting at the floor, when the police come they were hidden with another person in a cabin) * one stop for picking up many boxes of chicken (in the trunk) * just one Toilette stop * Arrival location is different than communicated on the ticket (much further away -> have to take a more expensive taxi) * the driver was smoking during the drive (it smelt) * much too expensive

The bus was fine and so was the trip, but the drivers were very rude, and did not try to communicate at all when somebody had questions. Even if we used Google Translate, they just looked the other way and shushed us.
