Hanoi to Hoi An Destination Reviews

AL
I got robbed in Hanoi, tried to explain and ask If I could move my date back because the police wanted me to stay longer. Their customer service just stopped responding, the owner aswell. I’ve bought 4 tickets from Hanoi to Hoi an but missed 3 of them because of no phone or the police (who didn’t even create a report) gave me hope and then proceeded to tear it down.

It wasn’t as bad as other people said tbh but keep in mind I booked the VIP 20 cabin. Bus was bumpy but clean. The main issue was the poor organisation at the end I was told to get off the bus an hour from my destination and after asking through google translate where the next bus was they just told me to go get a taxi, given I had paid for a bus to my destination I wasn’t keen on this idea and called the company who after a few phone calls answered and arranged a car to collect me. Overall it was okay but for someone less confident I think it would have been traumatising being left at 6am at a random bus depot.

Left 1 hr late. We upgraded to get better beds on two row bus. We were transferred to a cheaper bus for last 4 hrs. I was forced to be in the middle isle with no window in much smaller seats. Not what I paid for

Overall was good! The trip was 16.5 hours, not 15 hours. And the seats could’ve been a little cleaner. There were some hairs on my seat and the ceiling was dirty. The tv did not work but I think it’s because the remote batteries needed changed.

It started great, with an excellent free pickup from the hotel. We got dropped off at a different location than noted on our PDF, luckily the WhatsApp lady was really quick with her reply and told us it was fine. It turned out we got a different bus company we initially paid for, hence probably why we had a different bus station. We choose for a company with 13 hour trip. But in the end it took this operator 18 hours to get us there. I see it more as a delivery service who happens to also drive passengers. the bus left 40 minutes late. The comfort in the bus was really good though, even though the bus itself was quite loud when going over bumps and switching gears. It stopped a lot of times, receiving new cargo and dropping of cargo and sometimes even locals. The lady over the WhatsApp did apologize about the long delay, she told me it was way more then she expected, they do deliver cargo to maximize profits. The toilet didn’t have any toilet paper, so I would recommend bringing some tissues. I mean it was adventurous, not knowing if you are in the right place for the right bus etc, but we got there in the end and the bus was comfy, WiFi worked, enough space(22 cabin).

Would not recommend Queen bus. Over 3 hours late. It was raining and my window was broken so I was getting wet throughout the journey. When I brought this up, the staff did nothing to move me to a different seat or provide me with a towel. Additionally, my bag got soaking wet in the luggage compartment.

Stopped about 80 times to load and unload packages which made the trip about twice as long as necessary. Never stopped for a break though (it was an 18 hour trip). Nastiest bus toilet i've ever seen. Drivers smoked on the bus.
