Cat ba to Tam Coc : so the way it goes is normal seating bus, then ferry as pedestrians, then sleeping bus. The first two went great. The bus was beeping loudly and continuously for the whole journey. We were both able to go faster than 45 km/h. When finally the driver stopped to try fix the problem, we were stopped 1h30 in the heat and the problem was not fixed. We finish the journey anxious and with the beeping still driving us crazy and still going super slow. Needless to say we arrived super late.

The company offered to pick me up at my hotel which was good. We were then transferred to a boat at cat ba port. However the boat was too small so people had to stand with the luggage. Then we were transferred to another bus and again there was not quite enough room for everyone. It was also 37 degrees outside and the air condition didn’t work. We arrived over an hour late but the driver did offer to drop me near my hotel so that was nice.

Cat Ba - Tam Coc. Pros: they pick up us at the hotel and left us on the new hotel at Tam Coc. Cons: we leave 30 minutes before but arrived 30 minutes after. So is one more hour trip that announced. But we are happy with the service.
