Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai Destination Reviews

FK
The bus smelled of urine. The interior was worn out. The air conditioning blew constantly on the back of your neck, but you couldn't turn it off. It was definitely not VIP standard.

The backs of the seats of the bus are extremely curved and very uncomfortable. I assume the design is to fit a short person, but it warps the backs of taller people. I'm only 180 cm tall (5'11") and it was a really painful journey due to the seats.

Overall experience was poor. Bus seats were comfy. The road itself is so full of potholes and very very bumpy. You wont sleep. it was value for money but not comfortable. The toilet stank! and we arrived 1 hour late. I would recommend making friends and getting a private car and splitting the cost.
