Chiang Mai to Hua Lamphong Destination Reviews

MJ
from booking the ticket through to boarding the bus was an absolute breeze, nothing was an issue. I found the online process simple and easy to use with everything being self explanatory on the website. I was able to book the timings that I wanted. Yes I could have booked an earlier bus but I wanted to experience the night bus and see for myself what it was like. The bus was comfortable and I was able to sleep well throughout the journey into bangkok. The bus did stop at around 3am for a period of 20 minutes which I felt was enough time for me to stretch my legs and have a quick cigarette. Following the stop i was brought a coffee about an hour before we arrived in Bangkok which I thought was lovely. The staff were lovely and the driver was a great driver

The train was clean when we got there, the toilet was clean, the chief of cabin was so calm and nice. This experience was definitely better than the one I had before.

Awaken an hour before arrival is poor practice. Turnaround of train is not my concern.

The seat is nice, the service of the staff is good also. Free Food and drink is out of my expectation. Just only thing not good for me is the leg room not big enough for me. Btw I am 185cm tall

Overall a pretty good experience. As others have said AC is quite cold, lights stay on all night - so bring things with that in mind. The train is noisy-ish (as you'd expect). Ear plugs worked great. Staff come round to make up beds early and they are pretty comfy.

Seats were comfortable and there’s some legroom depending on if you’re tall (over 5’5) or not and if the person in front of you isn’t laid all the way back. They feed you a free meal half way through, which was delicious. No one told us that we were stopping to eat though, so just be aware and ask the driver questions or make a friend. They also give you a box with a cookie and pastry with water along with a blanket. We got to our destination almost 30 minutes early, as well. Worth the price.
