Extremely out dated.

We took the night train. The train is very bumpy and it is hard to sleep because of the bumpiness and also because of the AC which makes it a bit cold. Besides that it is ok. O recommend not to eat and risk going to the toilet during the trip. Peeing on the toilet was ok.

The 2nd class beds are brilliant. Comfortable, with a western toilet, and all have curtains and plug sockets. Meals can also be purchased onboard

The cabin on the train was exceptionally cold with no way of controlling the temperature. It was a very long and cold journey with children.

Train inter-carriage doors are dangerous for small children, they are powered closers with no safety detection, painful as an adult that can reach the switch, a child could be killed. Seats are not comfortable and mine wasn’t even bolted to the floor. Seat backs can not be adjusted without standing up and using 2 hands. Left on time but late arrival. Staff at the information desk in Don Mueang did not help at all, which is the opposite of staff on BTS who were all amazing. Signage at Don Mueang, and information given by 12Go is rubbish. Sleeper train berths and carriage ends have no luggage storage and staff do nothing to stop earlier boarding passengers spreading out and taking all the luggage racks. Toilets, as you might expect, are pretty disgusting.

Worth the money. Seat are board, but not long in stretch. I was in upper coach , was able to sleep as I covered light via curtains. Toilet is small, but okay okay. There is no pantry in the coach - but a lady do came to ask for dinner.

Train was ok. Typically noisy and a bit rough riding. No worse than expected. Booked 6 berths in 3 cabin, for 4 adults and 2 kids. All ok except none of the cabins had interconnecting doors. Carriage attendant refused to change our cabins, even though several were still empty (they did fill up later in the trip). It was disappointing, and out-of-character for Thai people.
