Hidden fees for luggage (200 THB extra bcs your suitcase is bound to be bigger than 20 inches), van packed to the brim (solid chance you won’t be able to lean back or sit comfortably cause someone’s backpack will be cozying up to you in one of the back seats), driver drove like a madman. Arrived in Chiang Rai an hour earlier, having had multiple moments during the ride when I considered sending family a farewell text. Avoid if you can.
