Bangkok to Chiang Mai Destination Reviews

KV
De rit en reis was prima, makkelijk te vinden en goed georganiseerd. Echter probeerde de medewerker van de trein ons van alles aan te smeren en geld af te troggelen. We moesten 500 bath betalen maar ze zei zo 660 bath.

Slow, the old train carriages need drastic update, seats old and uncomfortable for a 10 hour journey, toilet surprisingly ok but only because open window meant it didn’t smell, sink drain went straight on the floor where your feet were! Wouldn’t do it again no matter how cheap

It was a fun day trip with mom up to Chiang Mai from Bangkok. Had a porter on the train handing out snacks and waters you can purchase. The views were great. Got a bit cold in the 2nd class a/c car and our buts were sore after a long day. Should have brought a pad to sit on just because.

It was good, everyone was friendly and in the 2nd class you have airplane type seats that you can recline. Sound of the wind is quite loud and the doors/windows are open so there was quite a cold breeze to the point I had to out on my sweater and a scarf. Slept most of the trip. No charging station for phone.

Slept like a baby, staff on board where funny and over all really nice. Being older the bottom bunk is the only option.
