Staff were impersonal and refused to assist someone with seasickness. Seats were small and very upright. My knees were pressed against the hard plastic of the chair in front (I am 165cm tall). There were too many people for the number of seats so staff put plastic stools and a barrel down to use as extra seats. The roof leaked from an electrical wire, and the floor leaked enough that one shoe was wet before we left the harbour. Only working fans were in the front of the boat so no cooling for anyone after second row. Life vests smelled of old vomit and salt.

Sits were not confortable, with not enough soace. Fans were off and it was really hot. For the rest, the trip was on time and check in fast.

I was told via the company’s WhatsApp that I could get the 14:30 boat, but they do not run a 14:30 boat. Then, the 15:00 boat was deliberately held until 15:30 to make sure it was full, with us sat inside sweating and clueless. So, don’t expect to be able to make this crossing in a hurry. The sea was rough - always aim to travel in the morning.

The boat did not go because Sanur was closed, but we got no information from Angel Billabong and they didn’t informed us. And no reaction afterwards about a refund.

Everything went good, except for my bag. They put it outside on the boat deck and the splashes of the waves made it totally wet. All my clothes inside were drenched.

The Angkal speed boat was alright for what it is a $15-20 AUD ride from Sanur to Nusa Penida. The boat was very hot and had a strong fuel smell before it got moving, which wasn’t the best. Sanur port was chaotic (as expected), and the Nusa Penida arrival point was just rough wooden planks. Don’t expect luxury, but for the price, the 30-minute trip wasn’t too bad. Gets the job done.

We left too late They had issues with the anchor The engine stopped 3 times at open sea and it took some time to fix it Things like this can happen but at least inform people on the boat what happened. Some people looked afraid.
