We travelled from Phong Nha to Hue. I’m not usually a fan of bus journeys, but this one was surprisingly pleasant and went by quickly. The bus was slightly delayed, but we’d been notified of this the day before via WhatsApp. The bus was clean, the staff were friendly, and we were given water and a small snack. We also had a short toilet stop.

Pick up was on time, but travel time is very inaccurate. False advertising I would say. Travel time on ticket 3h.Time on Google maps is showing 4h. With the stop it took us 4:30 which is ok, but you shouldn't advertise it as 3h. Bus and staff on bus very good.

It was a good bus drive overall. I had to sit behind the driver. The first 2 hours the drivers and byriders were very loud, it woke me up a couple of times. I looked at them like ‘what’s going on?’ Not mad or anything. He singed at me. And after that they were very quiet and nice. I’ve definitely had worse bus trips here in Vietnam so it wasn’t the greatest but not bad either.

Multiple last-minute schedule changes, very poor communication, and a much later arrival than advertised. We booked this connection specifically to maximize our limited time in Hue, but ended up losing a large part of the day. The trip itself was fine, but the organization and customer service were disappointing.
